Stuck on connecting
As title says: stuck on connecting to Sainte-Mère-Église, and it fails to connect after quite some time without the ability to cancel as the option does nothing.

Sorry to hear that you are having this issue - is this only on this map? Additionally, would it be possible to see your system information so that we can try to assist further?
  1. Hold down the Windows Key and press R, the Run dialogue should appear > Type dxdiag in the available text field > Click OK
  2. Click Save All Information > Save the file DxDiag.txt to your Desktop so it is easy to find
  3. Open the .txt file, copy all the contents > Paste all the contents to a free text hosting service such as http://justpaste.it, http://textuploader.com or http://freetexthost.com
  4. Copy the link to your post

I don't know if it happens on other maps but I will report back if it happens again on another map.

Thanks for that - we cannot see any issues with your system - it could be possible that that specific map is being too demanding from your system, fails to load on time and eventually disconnects you. We can see OBS and LogiCapture crashing frequently, can you retest the game with every non-crucial software disabled?

As far as I am aware of, logic capture and OBS weren't running when I loaded in the map. These programs do crash a lot on load-up or when i mistakenly switch them over to my second monitor that is connected to another GPU. But these programs are rarely used, and I cannot recall that I used them during that particular game session, unless something is happening in the background that I am not aware of. I force-closed the game using taskmanager and did not have them running or noticed them running; so if these programs are loaded it does not show on the taskmanager.

However, this problem almost never happens so I would not consider it a major issue on my end. :winter2019happyyul:

Same Problem here. I've connected to serveral servers but unable to connect. When i click on join button a connectiong dialog comes up and stays there forever. I already did a filecheck, deinstalled the whole game and redownload, but no luck at all. here is dxdiag if that helps anything: https://pastebin.com/s7TFQkpy

It looks like your graphics drivers are currently out of date, could you please download and install the latest drivers for your GTX 1070 card?

Hi, Thanks for helping out.

I updated my driver via your link, but unfortunately its still the same on every server. Its just this endless connecting dialog: https://imgur.com/a/ooEJBat (German).

Is there any game log generated i can post here?
I see 2 information events in windows event manager, one is telling that easy cheat is successfully loadet and registered in the filter-manager:

Der Dateisystemfilter "EasyAntiCheatSys" (6.1, ‎2022‎-‎05‎-‎17T04:38:38.000000000Z) wurde erfolgreich geladen und im Filter-Manager registriert.
(sorry for german, it's my sys lang)

Thanks for your reply.

Let's try some more solutions:
  1. Navigate to Hell Let Loose in the Steam library
  2. Right-click and open its properties on the General tab
  3. Open the "Set Launch Options" and add "-dx12"
  4. Launch the game
  5. Attempt to join any server
Please note: We don't officially support DX12 yet, we added a DX12 crash fix since some users are experimenting with it - but if you are playing with DX12, you need to be in Windowed Fullscreen mode and you cannot Alt+Tab from the game.

Turn off IPV6:
  1. In the Windows Control Panel, go to Network and Internet, press on Network and Sharing Centre.
  2. Press the Change Adapter Settings button, and RMB on the network you are currently using, this could be Ethernet or WiFi, and press Properties.
  3. In the following window, disable the IPV6 checkbox and press OK to save the changes, restart your laptop/desktop.
If you have more than one network adapter installed, try changing to another network adapter, this worked for another player with this set-up.

Lower your browser ping:
  1. Go to Steam Settings > In-Game
  2. Change the max ping from Automatic (5000) to a different one eg. for a start you can try 1500, and lower it to test if it does not work on this.
  3. Restart Steam (log out and log back on)
  4. Start the game, click Enlist and then try to join a server

5. If the issue persists, try to change the max ping option again. It is safe to try any option, so you can try the lowest as well.

Hi Team 17, thank you again for helping and sorry for the late reply.

I have Some developer tools installed on my system like Visual studio and Android studio etc. Can this may cause any trouble with anti cheat or so? I have no debugger or anything running but may the developer environment itself cases trouble?
I have no problems playing any other online game.

Now to your trouble shooting Guide:

I have set the "Launch Options" to -dx12 for HLL in the steam Settings, but this unfortunately did not helped.

I also turned off IPV6 for my network adapter, but unfortunately did not changed the behavior. I still can't connect to any server.

I changed all max ping settings from Automatic (5000) down to 250 but still have the same problem, stuck on connecting.

restarted my PC serveral times in these steps.

I turned off firewall and windows defender but still can't connect.

Let's check whether the programs are having any affect on the game:

Can you please follow the steps in the link to perform a clean boot?[support.microsoft.com]
A clean boot is being used to start your Windows device using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs.
  1. Press Ctrl+Shift+Esc to open the Task Manager.
  2. Click More Details.
  3. Select the Startup tab.
  4. Right-click on each item and select Disable.
  5. Press Windows Key + R.
  6. Type msconfig and press Enter.
  7. On the Services tab click to select the Hide all Microsoft services checkbox, and then tap or click Disable all.
  8. Click Apply and restart the computer.
Once this is done please launch the game to see if the issue still continues.

To re-enable your start-up programs:
  1. Follow the steps above again but enable all of your programs and services.
  2. Then click Apply and restart your computer.

Oh Sorry for not responding on this. It was working at the end. But I haven't changed anything. I just made another attempt 2 weeks after this discussion and I was able to connect to any server. Strange, but thats how it is.
