Easy Anti Cheat loads, then my HLL closes. Help!
I've played HLL for about 50 hours already, and I've never had this specific problem. I'll open Steam and click play, and I'll get a dialogue box from User Account Control asking, "Do you want this app to make changes to your device?". I click "yes", the Easy Anti Cheat window for HLL will show, the blue bar will load all the way to the right, and the window closes. On Steam, it will show the play button as "running" and show that HLL is running on my library for a few seconds, then it just, closes. It doesn't crash, I've looked in the logs and looked for crash reports and found nothing. After the game closes, it will bring up the User Account Control dialogue box again, I'll click "yes" again, and it does the same thing!

Greetings Alex,

Sorry to hear that you are having this issue. Would it be possible to see your system information so that we can try to assist further? To do this:
  1. Hold down the Windows Key and press R, the Run dialogue should appear > Type dxdiag in the available text field > Click OK
  2. Click Save All Information > Save the file DxDiag.txt to your Desktop so it is easy to find
  3. Open the .txt file, copy all the contents > Paste all the contents to a free text hosting service such as http://justpaste.it, http://textuploader.com or http://freetexthost.com
  4. Copy the link to your post

Greetings Alex,

Thanks for that - we cannot see anything wrong with your system that would prevent you from playing. Would you be able to test the game with the following files added to your Anti-Virus/Firewall as an exception?
  • Program Files (x86)\EasyAntiCheat\EasyAntiCheat.exe

  • Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Hell Let Loose\EasyAntiCheat\EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe

  • Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Hell Let Loose\Launch_HLL.exe

  • Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Hell Let Loose\HLL\Binaries\Win64\HLL-Win64-Shipping.exe

  • Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Hell Let Loose\HLL_BugReportUploader.exe

  • Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Hell Let Loose\HLL.exe

maybe you have a program running that is preventing hll to launch because it's a false positive for the EAC. ctrl+maj+echap to check there and verify with known false positive for EAC on google. Or maybe you are cheating...

I don't remember installing any cheats recently so I don't think it's that lol. However, I searched google for some false positives for EAC and found an article that directed me to delete the Certificates folder in the EAC folder for HLL. Now, my game doesn't close before it asks me if I want EAC to make changes to my computer. Instead it will show a dialogue box saying "Preparing to launch Hell Let Loose", but I'm still stuck in the same loop of clicking "yes" over and over.

maybe checking game files with steam, then reinstalling EAC for hll. Have you modified any .ini of the game? if so try to delete those files and restart the game.

I saw your dirctX is outdated, try installing the 12 instead of 10.

Hey Alex,

If you have deleted the Certificates folder, then we would highly recommend you to restore the game files. To do this please right-cling on the game, choose Properties, choose 'Local files' and press 'Verify integrity of game files'.

Can you please confirm to us what antivirus / firewall software you'r currently using?

We look forward to hearing back from you.

Kind regards,

Yes, I am using Windows Defender as my antivirus/firewall. I also got back my certificates folder, but my problem has stayed the same.
