Best way to level up as an Officer?
Other than planting outpost and garrison what can I do to gain XP fast? Because I love every kind of bolt action rifle in this game but you can only access it on level 6 and leveling up took ages.

Other than point-cheating on a bob the builder server? No.

Placing OPs and garrisons and having people spawn on them, capturing enemy supplies and securing objectives is the only way to level the SL kit.

"i refunded years ago... "
"just got the game for free a few weeks ago thanks to epic"

so again, you have like zero time in the game?
so, again, you've go put in the TIME and earn it, or point-cheat.

CRAZY!

edit- you have TWO.... two ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hours in this game and you're crying about unlocks already? OMFG
Do you not think you're overreacting, quite excessivley, to a simple question lol.

overreating to a brand new player complaining that they don't have access to a semi-automatic rifle [which means they're talking about every faction aside from U.S.] and wanting to know the quickest path to getting "faster pew pew" ?

odd to call it over-reacting when pretty much the entire community feels the same way about all the great new Epic gamers... have you even been in a server recently? ugh... you can quit the virtue singling its 2025 and woke culture is headed to pasture.

You're being too sensitive and triggered over things that are really not that important lol.

yep, i totally get trigged by low-effort scrubs who prefer arcade-style instant gratification instead of feeling they earned something in a game... I'm quite sensitive about that, honestly.
You would have to go Engineer and build nodes, then trade for the Officer position. But it requires another willing participant for it.

Crikey.

This doesn't read like complaining, ignore the rude posts.

As stated earlier, the fastest way is to build nodes then play the class you want to level. As an SL, you should be building quite a bit of garries (ask commander for supply truck) and then build 2 of them with it. Adds an extra 100-200 points depending on if they were red or blue zones, as supplies spent that you drop gives points.

I think the level for cosmetics is fine, but my opinion on the loadouts has always been that it tends to keep players from experiencing the game properly. A squad of new players has no satchels, lacking extra firepower & grenades, etc.

Of course there are plenty here that think because we had to grind it out, they should have to too. Flawed logic

equipment locked behind levels is cancer in this game, you just punish in a way new players by having better equipments just because you put more time in it, you're the same people that will say FOMO is a great thing
SQUAD doesn't have any level restriction and it's doing better than HLL

if i had it my way, every single loadout would be time-locked behind putting 20 hours into SL and 20 hours into support because more often than not there aren't enough garrisons and people just cry about it in command chat instead of stepping up and putting their money where their mouth is.

but god forbid new players needing to learn their class before being able to grab a thompson and spray n pray.

you can just go back to battlefield already, or your 'ready or not with bots' because you don't actually want teamplay, from the look of your game reviews.
Engineer XP farming is the second best way to gain XP (the best being BTB). Start the game as Engineer, build 3 nodes then switch to any other class.

Squad leader is one of the easiest classes to level, since you will typically be:
  • Building Garrisons.
  • Driving trucks
  • Be on either the Offensive or Defensive point.

All of which gain you XP.

Further the good/great weapons (G43 and SVT40) are available at L3, so you only really need to continue leveling (to L6) for Allies (to get the M1 Garrand).

Hence that opens the strategy of playing Officer on all factions until you get to L3. Then you continue to play officer on German and Russian factions (to get your XP to L6), but choose to rank up other classes when you are Allies - until you hit L6 officer.

I understand what you are saying but hell let loose grind fest is a joke. It should be changed.

although i only play SL i never had a problem reaching lvl 10, i don't care about levelling up, im just playing the game to shoot people, so it never became a grind..

Maybe you're playing the wrong kind of game?

I’ve never played just to level up or cheat, even though I know the "bob thing" exists. However, it’s really frustrating to deal with a system like this. At this point in the game, I’d much prefer to have all loadouts unlocked. Everything else I dont care.

I'd agree if it required alot of time, but tbh i got it pretty quick, but i played Crysis back in the day and that require you to start with a pea shooter before you could be better weapons/vehicles, every match.

I don't like grind, i don't like achievements, and i'm against COD/Battlefield weapon unlocks, as any of that really is a grind to be on par with another player.

This? it really is nothing compared to how Battlefield & COD have gone.

I think it simply have to be like in squad or lets say insurgency sandstorm. All usable things are unlocked instantly.

Grinding in game like this is more or less stupid to me. You have to do your job, but not grind for guns.
