Thanks for providing me with an example minion.
The purpose of ingame rank is to reflect experience and combat capability. You seem unable to understand this very basic aspect of the game and how Bob's server is eroding and destroying this tactical component.
Soon there will be no difference between a level 25, level 50, level 100, level 150 or level 200 commander, because you can no longer believe the ingame rank being representative of ones skill and experience due to Bobs exp farming minions.
so if you read my comment i said report the server and have it closed. there is nothing wrong with this community, just the servers that let people farm to level up fast are the problem. the funny thing is your part of this community and right now your coming across as an angry bunny, want a carrot?
how does that make me a minion, i think its silly friday as we have the guys on the other post advertising ps and whining as well
I would say you are correct about skill level to a certain degree.
Although time put in game represents allot of important things: Map knowledge, Often used Garrison spots, Tactics, Flanking maneuvers, Good/Bad spots, How to counter certain things, Where to hide/move, Where or not to go with tanks, where to build AT guns, proper emplacements construction, etc etc (you can make this list really long if you desire to do so).
Experience (and something (rank) that represents it) is important in this type of game. Bobs exp farm negates all these lessons an experienced player would have learned along the way.
It's a computer game - there is no valor, stolen or otherwise - valor is only for those that actually put their lives on the line.

The stain here is on the computer game industry for using grinding as a mechanic to sustain engagement - I am not going to single out any one game (plenty of games are guilt of it).
If the industry actually wanted to reward players for skill / clever tactics etc, they should implement a system that actually rewards those aspects rather than simply providing a system that rewards a specific set of actions, regardless of if those actually help the team win.
Now onto the BTB server - I have not used it, but I have no issue with it - it is an answer to a poorly implemented grinding mechanic - any such implementation (in any game) deserves such servers.
i played APB: Reloaded for years, people would always go off about how rank = skill, rank means absolutely nothing
also, every single game these days is a grind, not to mention having to play different games during events to get exclusive stuff that you wont get any other time.....well some games you can get it later, for a price
