You just have to accept your losses.
Frankly, I don't see why this hasn't yet become the norm for every competitive multiplayer game. I've been playing Marvel Rivals with my friends a bit and it has a replay system which I've used several times now to go over my own game play and report several obvious aimbotters. It's a great teacher, and it's the best form of anti-cheat imo because it gives power to the players to actually do something in their own individual cases. Humans right now are still better at determining who is cheating/hacking than scripts or AI.
I get this requires money to store data and pay a group of people to go over reports and replays, but this is what good game companies do if they want players to trust that the game isn't filled with cheaters. This is such an important feature in this type of game that it's wild how this hasn't become the standard. Like it's 2025, we've had this ability for over a decade at this point.
Sadly you're right.
Not killcam, a replay of the game, as in recored after the match.
Install OBS or use the tool your video card software provides. Why would a game need that?
He wants to see the top down vision of the matches after they ended. Like being in admin mode flying around to view his mistakes and review himself/others.
I think the biggest problem people have with "killcam" (Myself included) is that i dont want my position be revealed and broadcasted to them when i am in a insane position.
Imagine being sneaky or a tank in a good position only to kill 1 guy and he knows exactly were you are from that killcam instantly getting targeted by a revenge killer. 10-20 mins down the drain!
Now if its an after game recording it would be perfect. People can rewatch and do whatever without it impacting the game.
But i am definitely against killcams yes.
Say you capture a clip of a potential cheater from a recording but there's some kind of lag or inconsistency with player movement, that could easily be argued that the clip recorded isn't sufficient evidence due to that fluctuation. I don't like the idea of banning potentially innocent players based on a flawed replay system, you know?
Imo this is a bad excuse to not try to implement this feature. Like I hear you, my OP even started with acknowledging I know who the devs are for this game, but we still need this game to improve. I've personally never had any issues with lag/inconsistencies in recorded replays in games I've played whether it was Dota 2, Age of Empires 2, Overwatch, Halo 3, Marvel Rivals, etc.
Even if say this gets implemented and you're right and these issues exist, it still beats not having anything at all because right now we have no tutorial, no recorded replays to learn from, and no recorded replays to actually figure out if someone was cheating/hacking.
The argument you're making is that basically T17 shouldn't touch the game at all because they are incompetent, which is completely unacceptable for me and I think most players. I agree we need new devs but we should still be giving out suggestions and criticisms of the current devs, it's at least some type of pressure that we apply for them to do something.
Definitely against kill cam, this is not the type of game that should have it whatsoever. I'm specifically talking about post-match recordings that people can view from a free cam and player pov.
