Most people don't care for achievements.
I do, but half of the HLL achievements are ridiculous.
They are beyond ridiculous, it feels like somebody didnt even know how to properly make achievements for this type of game and also to artificially extend the players investments by tedious and grindy tasks.
My rarest achievement is "Command And Conquer!"
- As Commander, kill the enemy Commander. And even that only 3,1% of the players have done. That one is at least reachable with reasonable effort (got it by accident).
Then why would they put achievements there if most of the players dont care about them. Why not rewarding players who reach those milestones in other ways like cool cosmetics, ribbons or medals that you can decorate on your soldier on the battelfield. A real accomplishment that everybody can see, like Medal of Honor or Iron Cross isntead of getting achievement for it. Achievements should encourage new ways of playing and helping team, not doing tasks that is the opposite of teamplay like killing 10 players by knife, spade, molotov without dying, or driving jeep to roadkill 100 enemies.
You can only obtain them by not properly playing the game. Roadkill 100 player by jeep, yeah that sounds fun, destroying fully loaded jeep or halftrack, one in a milion chance.
