"Authentication timed out (1/2)"

First time installing the game since 2 years ago. Upon joining a server, after 2-5 minutes I get disconnected with the following message appearing "Authentication times out (1/2)". This happened on all servers I tried to join.

Verifying game files did not fix the problem.

maybe because the game is about to update, its meant to come out right now
