Microphone / Voice Chat problems
I have a Behringer audio interface and an XLR microphone that I have been using for years, I have used them in hundreds of games and they work great

But when I get to this game and try to use it, it simply does not work, not even in the menu test, just nothing, as if I did not have a microphone

-I have already installed and uninstalled drivers
-I have already done everything mentioned on the vivox troubleshooting guide page

If anyone knows about this, I would greatly appreciate your help, thank you

Unfortunately I've read that there are a lot of problems with voice chat and everyone attributes it to vivox

Maybe the game developers should do something about it
In one of the next updates they should take care of this problem

Until now I have resigned myself to playing without a microphone

---<<<UPDATE>>>---

Long but interesting text for any developer or someone who has the same problem:

I found a very strange but effective solution, after several hours and days trying to solve this, I can now use the game's voice chat

and I have to say, this problem only happens to me in this game, my microphone and audio interface works perfectly in all other applications and games

My solution??

Have the sound window open in the recording tab , just that

and play the game

I didn't have to move anything at all in the sound window

I happened to open the sound window in the recording tab while the game was open and tried the microphone in the menu, it worked! I don't know how but it works!!
I played a match using voice chat for the first time and it was beautiful

I had to turn off my PC afterwards and then I went back to play again

When I came back and tried to use voice chat in the game, it didn't work again, but I remembered the little thing I did of opening the sound window in the recording tab, and yes, my microphone worked again

Things that I think also helped was disabling the firewall and antivirus for the game

Sorry for my limited English, but I hope someone finds this possible solution useful and hopefully this problem can be fixed by the developers, who knows

Often things like webcams, monitors, TVs, game controllers, etc... can be game devices. So if you haven't done an audio on your audio devices and disable any useless ones, I recommend doing that since it can help minimize audio problems. Is your audio at a high bit rate? If so you might need to limit that lower fidelity in order to get the game working.

My output is 2 channel 24-bit 48000Hz, and input is 1 channel 16-bit 48000Hz which are the defaults for my Arctis pro wireless headset which simulates surround sound. Aside from the stupid VoIP bug these settings seem to work well for me.

Some of the devices might be chosen instead of the microfone, happend to me as well. Simple reconnect in game menu where the mic setting is might work. Don't forget to keep Master volume high and lower down the sfx setting, the rest is up to your preference.

Hi guys thanks for answering my call, I already updated the post with my result

Yep, many have problems just because all they did to sound settings is lower the Master volume.
Didn't work for me. I still can't pass the mic test in the options screen.

I have a similar issue as the OP. I use a Corsair HS70 Headset with mic that works perfectly in every other game. I can't hear myself in HLL during the mic test no matter what I've tried, including what the OP suggested of leaving the recording tab open in the Sound Properties applet (which frankly, made no sense to me, but I figured, what the heck). I can see that the mic is working perfectly (as usual) as the bars light up when I speak, just get nothing in the damn game.

I have the same problem, the microphone stops transmitting my voice if I enter a HLL game and it doesn't let me use it in any other program
but if before entering the game I enter a Teamspeak, Discord or active channel where I can hear the microphone through the headphones, it doesn't block me and lets me speak quietly, but if I deactivate it in the middle of the game and die, it blocks me until I leave the game.

I thought the same thing but only my microphone is enabled on my PC and it blocks it anyway
My partial solution is to be in a discord room alone before entering a game so that the game does not block it
I just joined an official server for the first time (new HLL player)... an empty server... a few guys joined and my teammate said he could in fact hear me. His voice was completely distorted though to the point where I couldn't understand him at all, so he responded via text chat. I still couldn't hear myself during the mic test in the options screen, even when I was live on the server. So apparently that mic test doesn't work, at least for me.

Have a look in your Windows mic settings and even steam itself. There shouldn't be a device set to default. Check your overlays as well, in invidia or a streaming service like geforce now, you have to enable a mic.

Sounds like a odd advice but even rebinding keys to coms, disconecting and connecting microphone back up, checking the integrity and all that simple stuff will help. I fixed my comms pop up problem by opening a Map mid game and talking to all comms possible, works ever since...

This problem unfortunately persists for some people as long as the 4k resolution and the cursor offset.

Something that might help is to disable Nvidia High Definition Audio, it is disabled in device manager and in the sound and video game devices section, right click>disable device

Also uncheck the exclusive mode box in the microphone device properties sound>recording>right click>properties>advanced options>uncheck exclusive mode

This problem has to be solved somehow, but so far it's all trial and error
If I have some possible solutions I'll let you know

It's a shame that several people already have this problem or problems related to voice chat , devs do your thing

Mate! This has fixed it for me - specifically the part about "Exclusive mode". Cheers mate! Got a new PC and haven't been able to get this to work for days... legend
OK, See the above from Mylrez.
Finally after 2 days at 10hrs of trying to get my microphone to work for HLL. (As mic was working for absolutely everything else) (HyperX cloud alpha S headset)
& this fix Still works with Nvidia High Definition Audio enabled.
Thankyou Mylrez.

Windows 11,
Select 'Settings'
Type in 'find a setting' = sound
select 'sound settings'
scroll to advanced section
select 'more sound settings'

Then a sound window will appear
select the 'recording' tab (open to here every time prior)
scroll to your device [what your mic / input device is]
Right click on it and select 'Properties'
select the 'advanced' tab
view the Exclusive mod box and uncheck 'Give exclusive mode application priority'
hit 'apply'

Then prior to starting steam and or HLL, open the above process until you get to the 'record' tab and leave it open as is (dont do anything more) then fire up steam and HLL.

This has worked for me ahhhh finally.
I hope this works for you all.
Cheers
