There's a ton of lucky kills in this game, I've made more than I can count.
I know i tried either Battlefield 1 or V, during a trial once, loaded in, ran about 50m got killed, massive hill infront of me, thought that was strange, since kill cam was facing the hill, 2nd time happened again, 3rd time i eventually made my way to the bridge and hunkered in, no viewpoint i could be shot through without being underneath, just to prove a point.
Ping same guy again.
Go to the forums, and what will one read? "i have never seen a cheater in 400, 500, 800 hours."
I know there are ♥♥♥♥ talkers on both sides of the fence, been called cheat more than a few times, but to dismiss it altogether based on your hours alone is pure idiocy, unless you do cheat and want to prove otherwise? which is it?
Seen a handful in this game for certain, could suspect a few more ontop of that... not overly difficult to figure out, however knowing who it is.. well thats on the server admins.
I will say the servers are laggy as hell since the free release on Epic, having to heal yourself twice because the first time didn't register is quite annoying.
Keep in mind saying "I have never seen a cheater in x amount of time" does not discount the existence of cheaters, it's just them saying they haven't seen one. Personally, I can count on one hand how many cheaters I could see myself, you know stuff like blatant aimbot, speedhacks, etc. The more subtle stuff is more just speculation and assumptions based on your own personal game knowledge, they're around just... way more rare than some of the people on this forum would have you believe.
As an aside, I spent a good amount of time on BFV, many more hours than Steam shows, and I can tell you first hand you'd run into around 1-3 blatant cheaters a day on average and what's funny is you started noticing patterns and what server types they'd show up more often like how they would never stay in a server for more than 1 or 2 games or how they would mostly show up to servers running Tactical Conquest, which were the more infantry focused maps to avoid tanks that could ignore their aimbots.
I agree, with HLL there is alot of speculation, sometimes you just have one of those (bad) days, in 500 hours i can only count a handful for certain, but the rest is speculation, obviously based on experience really.
I know how people can call out cheat on every other death, it gets a bit much, but i don't like overly dismissive attitudes either.
As for Battlefield 1/V (not sure which one, just had a smooth slope leading upto a bridge, whichever map that was) yeah i played that single game and thought.. yep thats enough of Battlefield for me!
I prefer the earlier Battlefields and havn't touched the newer ones since.
So curious.. whats with your achievements?
Did you spend your 80 hours grinding those, or did you just.. cheat?
Likely a Steam achievement unlocker. Even if he were cheating ingame, it would still take him more than 90 hours to get most of them. It *does* make him suspicious in my eyes though.
