Also try to stay alive - you will get 20 points for attacking or defending every minute. It depends on territory on which you are.
The FG42 itself is cool - low recoil, cool firing sound, but not a lot of ammo. One of the few classes, which actually can need the ammo boxes.
General usage I would say the STG is better because its a lot more reliable and flexible, but if I know the enemies are going to be fighting at closer ranges most of the time, I'll probably switch over to the FG42.
Biggest downside is the low amount of ammo it comes with. 5 mags with 20 rounds each are a decent amount of ammo to carry around in real life, but in HLL this calls for discipline and aimed shots. If you prefer having some more ammo on you the STG44 might be the better overall choice.
