Its genuine NPC behavior.
I'll just crank up the brightness to 200% thank you
It just keeps happening over and over again from the exact same type of person lol
Yes, that's always the case with these trolls, it's like a law of nature. They have to attack you personally to be able to troll, and in doing so, they only expose themselves. That's what I like about trolls; you can usually spot them after the first three lines. Because by then they've already started completely ignoring the actual topic.
It's also frightening that 99% of people really don't have the slightest clue about cheating and just keep repeating this one illogical sentence. They keep saying they've never seen a cheater. As if cheaters were walking around with a sign that says "I cheat," as if cheaters only ever have 200/0 stats.
Most people have never heard of things like a "humanized aimbot," but they act like they can smell cheaters from a mile away. If someone claims they've never seen a cheater, you should ask them how a cheater look's like. They usually don't respond, and if they do, it's just nonsense, most of the time...
I have asked this before and never gotten a response so here, how do you know for certain that they are using a hack/cheat? Can you objectively say that yes this person is using a cheat and what is your method for determining if someone is using a cheat vs just being a skilled player? You said that cheaters do not make it obvious so what is that tell for you that you have learned that makes it so you can be certain that it is a cheater?
In my personal opinion, One should rather admire his dedication to this topic. It far overshadows the ignorance many people have towards it. The topic of "cheating" has been downplayed for far too long, which has ensured that an illegal billion-dollar industry is now based on it. That in itself makes it clear how important it is to repeatedly address this topic, and we've only just touched on the snowflake on the iceberg. We haven't even talked about famous cheating streamers and game companies that promote this business themselves. The YouTube channel "Call of Shame" has already done a lot in this regard!
well this sounds like you have the same "issue" as any conspiracy theorist. beeing "intensively involved with this topic for over 25 years" is a sign you should talk about with your therapist.
your belittleing comment about me not having a clue is another sign of your arrogance and fanatic ignorance to the impact of cheaters in a game like HLL (hint... its not huge, considering the size of the playerbase (quite low actualy) even less then notable).
as for your totaly silly statement that "some people in this thread claim that they've never seen a cheater" to be untrue... well how would you know? if they didnt see or noticed any cheater (who arent denied, learn to read FFS) just means they are not as obvious and neglectable in regard to the player count.
some people drive their lifelong without an accident, that doesnt mean there are non or they are good drivers!!
if you see cheaters in every game then YOU have a serious problem (do you see them in real life too?)
as for the "competitive scene"... i belive people are far more aware there, then in regular random games. most do check who is playing and know eachother. there is much less cheating in HLL then in many other games that have far more players involved and not a clan based and more personal community. this is obviously not such a huge thing there or those clans would join the countless threads about cheaters.
at last, yes alot of people in the internet and online games just troll around to bugger others. but think about the nonsense here, paying for games and cheats to frack others free time gets boring at some point. they dont play the game, just sit around and let the scripts do whatever.
they pay for crap that isnt even entertaining - exept when people like you fill the games forum and any related medias with unsustainable and often unproven claims about the impact of cheaters in a friggin game.
but they will leave after a while and go to the next game, where they again have no real impact.
now you can go one and call everyone who disagrees names. thats actualy everything these threads are good for, insulting others.
I'll tell you what's arrogant: pretending to know something about a topic without having looked into it and then trying to tell others something that's not true, based on nothing. That's exactly what most people here are doing, saying things like "I've never seen a cheater in HLL, so it's not a problem" or "the cheating problem isn't big because the player base isn't big." That's not only arrogant, but also wrong and, in my personal opinion, stupid. If a player base has 10 players and 3 of them cheat, you have a massive cheating problem. The fact that people say they haven't seen any cheaters and believe this indicates a low cheater count is the mistake, and I've explained that several times already. You're basically even confirming it with your own statements here (thx).
It's also perfectly normal that I've been doing this for 25 years; the developers of anti-cheat software do it too, by the way. This is called "further education" and is probably foreign to you, which wouldn't surprise me.
I can only repeat myself once again and advise all of you to educate yourself more on this topic. Because most people who have never done so will have their jaws drop when they realize how deep this rabbit hole really is...
skill issue.
