Hell Let Loose

Ver estadísticas:
My support role experience
I'll try not to ramble on and on but it may end up that way. I'm a player who wants to be an addition and help out in anyway I can. With the different roles in HLL I thought I would take on the least desired roles so when I asked which roles were not as popular support came up. I started playing this role and began running into issues where your squad lead basically expects you that if you play the support role to redeploy every two minutes swapping out with someone else. So basically you have to have two people who are okay switching the role every two minutes. The reason for this is because they need supplies dropped and rather the working with other roles you have to spend your game dropping supplies, redeploying, waiting two minutes, drop what your doing, go back to the support role and blah blah blah.

I can't fathom why anyone would want to spend their game time dropping supplies and switching roles every two minutes. The only thing that does make sense to me is why that role isn't one everyone fights over. So... You might get the whole 'Well don't play that role then", but that argument is garbage. You end up having a role that doesn't get picked just because you expect someone to play that way. What fun is it to spend your whole game dropping supplies and switch roles every two minutes. If you ask me the only thing that could be good about this role is if everyone takes the good roles then take the support role and if your squad lead makes you switch, if they find a sucker who will agree to drop what they are doing to redeploy as a support then you can take the role from the sucker who actually agreed to do that.

Seriously! Does anyone want to spend their game time redeploying and dropping supplies every two minutes? It only works if you get two people who are willing to switch back and forth like that which I cannot for the life of me see why anyone would want too. And that also only works if you can move to the same area that the first person dropped supplies without getting killed over and over. Personally what would make more sense is to drop supplies and hang around the area for two minutes and then drop more supplies. Or have other squads with the support role drop the supplies in a tactical position rather then wasting time switching back and forth. Most of the time anyway you get one squad lead who tells you to redeploy and talking someone else into taking the role and that's where it ends. I have not played ONE game where people continue to swap back and forth like that. Maybe ONCE but not over and over.

Seriously the best thing to come out of this role is if you get last pick then take the support role and when the squad lead makes you redeploy then take the roll from the sucker who agrees and be on your merry way with a better role. Complete garbage the way people EXPECT you to play. The enjoyment in this game is being sucked out by other players who force you to play one way and if you have gripes then you risk being locked out of a squad thanks to the lame squad locking rule. Has anyone played ONE GAME where someone was happy to play that way? There has to be many other ways that are better then swapping roles every two minutes. Utilize a supply truck and deliver supplies. Work with other squads and have their support drop supplies in the same area. There is no enjoyment playing a game that way so clearly I can see why this role isn't one that people fight over to play.

I frequently choose support as a go to choice. It's a matter of attitude. This role can contribute mountains of success to a team IF..... the SL has any idea how to effectively use your provisions. I'll get supplies anywhere on the map you may demand if you will talk to me. Remember my name SLs. I'll go to your squad and work for you the entire game. I think I'm level 6 or 7 at supply.

IMO the optimal way to go about the support role when you have a decent squad, is to not have a support, but everyone willing to swap and drop supplies as soon as SL says ''next to die swap to supp, I need supplies''. You die, spawn as supp, drop the supplies, redeploy and go back to your class. (It's even better if people is willing to redeploy when SL ask for supplies, but that's harder to find)

The dedicated support players is the next best alternative you get in those cases when you have at best 1 or 2 communicative players willing to do teamwork.

Sometimes I even play both SL and support at the same time if I can't find a communicative squad. If I want a garry somewhere, I will just get there as SL, drop an OP, redeploy as support, drop supplies, redeploy as SL, rinse and repeat.

If you hate redeploying I have bad news for you, redeploying is extremely strong as a tool.

Best way to save a back cap?? redeploy

Faster way to get 100 supplies without asking commander?? redeploy and swap support

Faster way to respawn after you are downed?? redeploy

Best way to use a good airhead?? most of the team should redeploy, not just those that happened to die around that moment.

You need to destroy a garry because team is at the 8 garry limit?? redeploy

You are AT and manage to get 2 hits on a heavy tank but you are out of ammo and your support isn't anywhere near?? redeploy

etc etc
