Major Problem with Unreal Engine crashes - any help would be appreciated
Hello everyone,

for the last 1 1/2 years I have had an issue which pretty much prevents me from playing Hell Let Loose anymore. I get infrequent UnrealEngine crashes (fatal error) during playing the game. The crashes may occur every 20 minutes but sometimes they occur after 3 hours. It is obviously very frustrating because once my game crashed the match I was in is over for me almost everytime, as rejoining a full server is more than a pain in HLL.

I have already done the following things and I would really appreciate any helpful advice or even reports if you have the same issue. I only get these UE crashes wih Hell Let Loose, every other game runs fine on my end. My specs are: RTX3080 10GB, Ryzen 9 5900X 12-Core, 32GB DDR4 Ram, game is installed on an SSD. So what I did so far:

- Reinstalled the game multiple times
- Verified integrity of game files
- added "-dx12" comand in HLL properties
- created a setting on my PC so when HLL is started my PC switches to "high performance" and not "balanced" mode
- set ingame graphics to the lowest to see if its a performance issue

Thanks for your time and for reading this, I would love to get back into the game and maybe someone knows something that might help me. Thank you!

Cheers

Hey Bubbles,

We're sorry to hear you're having this issue! We've moved your thread to the report a problem forum so that we can help further with this.

Firstly, could you please share with us a screenshot of the error so we can see exactly what this shows?
To take a screenshot, please make sure, that you have Steam Overlay enabled in your game
  1. Go to Steam -> Settings.
  2. Click the In-Game tab.
  3. Check "Enable Steam Overlay while in-game"
  4. Go to Library.
  5. Right-click on the game title and select Properties.
  6. Under the General tab also make sure "Enable Steam Overlay while in-game" is checked.
In the game, press F12 to take a screenshot. Then press Shift+Tab to bring up the Steam overlay, and Upload your screenshot, make it public. Then simply include the URL of your screenshot on the forum (it should look something like "http...sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=...")

Secondly, so that we can better understand the problem and recommend a solution, we would like to request that you please send us your DxDiag information via the steps below:
  1. Hold down the Windows Key and press R
  2. The Run dialog should appear. Type dxdiag in the available text field.
  3. Click OK
  4. Click Save All Information
  5. Set the Save as type to Text File (*.txt)
  6. Save the file DxDiag.txt to your Desktop so it is easy to find.
  7. Open the .txt file, copy all the contents > Paste all the contents to a free text hosting service such as https://justpaste.it/ or http://pastebin.com/
  8. Copy the link to your post and paste in your reply
Once we have this information, we will do our best to further assist you in resolving this matter.

Get back to us when you can!

Regards,
Team17 Support
