You might be able to upgrade the CPU at a decent price these days since it's four generations back. Also when the performance is bad double check the CPU clock speed. I downloaded a Windows 11 update that pegged my CPU at 800MHz which made everything slow including this game.
-dx12 -USEALLAVAILABLECORES -malloc=system -refresh 144 (your monitor frequency)
Your cpu isn't a good partner for your gpu or memory, but I'd expect better performance than what your getting. You should be thinking about sticking something like a i5 12600 in if possible.
i dont know why all are hitting on the cpu - it may not be a holodeck but when you dont adapt your settings and expect too much from an older game with troubled engine, no hardware can do anything.
and just to have said it - NO, its not only the hardware!
the game and especialy the engine has issues, but as already mentioned, no high end hardware can fix things just with "moar pauar"!
I run all maps at a constant 120fps, no matter the situation, I'm not saying he needs a better system (although he is bottle necked with his CPU and GPU combo)
The engine is not smooth by any means, even with the 120fps I still get the common stutter every few mins, but FPS remains the same.

Sure dude give 2k
Like, aren't we going to acknowledge the fact that this is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥?
I understand my PC is bottlenecked, but at the same time, it can handle the most intensive games of 2025 (like Stalker 2) on EPIC settings with DLSS Quality and still give me 60–100 FPS.
And somehow this game doesn't even utilize my hardware properly. It's acting like I only have 6GB of VRAM, and that’s why it’s running like crap. I’ve never seen anything like this before. I don’t get why someone has to fork out $2,000 just to have a smooth gaming experience — especially in this economy.
Sure, you might choose to spend that kind of money, but that doesn’t mean everybody should, or that it should become the standard. I just don’t get how this game can run at 60 FPS one moment, then suddenly decide it’s Cyberpunk 2077 on launch day and drop to 13 FPS.
I’m not here for internet arguments that just lead to ego boosts — I’m looking for actual solutions to my performance issues. If I were running a GTX 1650, I’d understand. But I’m not.
I respect actual help. If you're going to act like a jerk, at least be a helpful one.
Could be something corrupt in the game files? Have you tired doing a fresh install or validating the files?
Also, forget Stalker 2, two different games, different codes and engines - so let's only narrow it down to this game only.
There is something wrong with the files or something is not getting triggered properly.
Try one or two of my above suggestions and report back.
I have a 4070 super with i5 10400f and was getting same issue as the OP but this seemed to fix it i had the despawn at 5 mins
gpu usage is still at 30 percent cause of my i5 but i just use lossless FG now to get to my 165Hz
