So? EVERYONE can tell the crap gaming style coming from gamepass players.
Keep trying, smartest guy.
Except I can tell you as someone who *was* there when the game went to game pass that HLL already suffered the same problems that people attribute to the gamepass players.
No building Garrisons, no comms, no teamplay, you name it all happened far too frequently than people seem to remember. It's just easier to blame a specific group of people for the problems plaguing the game than to admit that the issues have always been there.
You keep calling me a shill, but I very much dislike the way Team17 have steered this ship, and as such have been putting less and less time into it, but I also believe that I should be correcting people who choose to paint a brush on something that they have zero right to be wielding.
This, pretty much just this.
Clunky and sterile gameplay with a bunch of sweat-soldiers being armchair generals like this is the answer to COD's Fortnite-ification. I'd rather sit them both out.
Epic released some number last year. 50% of Epic Games Store users only play 3rd party games on EGS, 17% playing third + first party games, and 33% playing first party only.
So potentially about 25% of the new users from EGS are people who also play one or more of Epic's first party games.
Rocket League was developed by Psionics and Fall Guys was developed by Mediatonic.
Fortnite is the only game that is first party here.
Both Psionics and Mediatonic are owned by Epic Games, the games are owned by Epic games, and the games have continued development under Epic Games, the first 2 in this list are reasons alone why those are first party games.
Psionix was acquired by Epic in 2019 with Rocket League being released in 2015.
Mediatonic was acquired in 2021 with Fall Guys releasing in 2020.
Games are not considered first party retroactively after their release. For a couple of examples, CoD4, Oblivion, and Starcraft are not first party titles under Microsoft.
The fact they are continued development under Epic also means they are first party games, where even significant changes to monetization and business model of the games changed. Even Epic considers them as first party games.
And yes, objectively, the list of games you gave are now first party games for Microsoft. Just like how World of Warcraft became a first party game for Activision in 2008.
Look it's clear you came from the EGS to comment about this current situation which means you have much more of an attachment to that platform but trying to change the definition of a phrase to give Epic positive press does the opposite in my eyes.
If people want an example of a real shill, this is it.
Nothing has been redefined. FIrst party has always meant games that are owned by the platform owner.
And how the heck is telling people the % of people who play first party only, third plus first party, and third party only making Epic look good? If my intention was to make Epic look good, then I would jump all over your wrong definition because that would make that 17% that play First + third on EGS an even lower % since that 17% that plays first party includes people that play Fall Guys, Fortnite, and Rocket League, remove the Fall Guys and Rocket League players on EGS and put them into the third party only number, and then the third party only number goes up, and the first + third party % goes down.
Apparently that is what you want. Fine, you win.
Less than 17% of EGS users are playing first + third part games, more than 50% of EGS users are playing third party games only.
This means for this game, less than 25% of the new players from EGS are Fornite players.
Also, when you have to go into use insults in a debate, it means you have lost the debate.
Oh btw, you can't answer now, but I will say it anyway, about supposed rEaLiSm in this game: you seen that footage from Ukraine? people almost always shooting from the windows of the buildings and from dots/trenches. Same as they always did. I'm not sure about dots in this game, but on map I played I was unable to enter almost any building. And I bet they are not destructible. I mostly BF4 player, so I don't know about BF1/BF5, I think BF1 lost some destructability, but it has a lot of dots/trenches and houses you can enter. And all other map locations look realistic and have different height covers and points of interest. Not like this one. Map here suck. At least that one I played (some city), but I don't think any other map is different with such abhorrent attention to details, where map looks big not because it hand-crafted like in BF series, but because it was copy-pasted, and every building is just non-interactable non-destroyable square block asset with textures of a house.
