But people seem to forget, this is in most cases a 1 shot kill game.
If you've played thousands of hours in other games, you are going to have an easy time flick shooting people with the M1 or Kar. And i believe most cases of these "cheaters" people complain about are coming from games where reaction and flicks are their strong points.
I've only had 2 games with obvious cheating where they werent hiding it and they were on my team. Not to deny the existence of people using them cautiously and going under the radar. But i doubt its as bad as some people think.
Been plying for years and almost every single game i have no issues.
The onereason HLL has survived this long is because there isn't a decent alternative. Years ago, when this pile of trash came about, the world was saturated with WW2 shooters. People grew tired of them and nobody has developed a good one since. One will come along again and put this failure to bed.
Skill issue.
not realy the game, the players!!
thats why this is designed as team based strategie game, but the "shooter" community took this as "just another game with no scopes" :/ flooded the servers and destroyed every attempt with silly camping and K/D boasting.
A player doesn't understand how to play the game and so thinks people are cheating. The perfect example of this is that your viewpoint is in your chest. This means that if you are hiding behind a wall all you can see is a wall in front of you because you are looking out from the level of your chest. Everyone else can see your helmet poking above the wall and not moving. Headshot and dead. Hacker! No, not hacker. You don't understand the game and when it is pointed out to you, rather than acknowledge it you fall back on childish insults, accusations of being a hacker/fan boy/apologist for the game themselves etc.
Things you can do in game that people think is hacking:
Shooting a person behind a wall because you can see their helmet sticking up and they think they are hidden.
Shooting someone prone in a field because they are visible to you due to the vegetation not rendering in
Shooting muzzle flash. Just because you can't see me doesn't mean I can't see you
Using cover effectively, so you cannot see where you're shot from. For example ensuring your sightline is broken up by rubble, branches etc
Tracking targets. Yesterday I saw someone running in the distance, they ran behind a hedge and I headshotted them without being able to see them because I tracked their movement and relative position
Shooting people in smoke. When smoke goes down it means people are using it for cover or running into it. If you're an MG and see smoke popped, spray the smoke. Person dies in the smoke when they can't see anything, thinks someone is hacking because they died when they though they were "invisible".
Shooting people from x hundred metres away because in Battlefield you can run across an open field safely so why can't you do it in HLL
Lying down in the corner of the room. Spin around and legs stick out of the wall. Get shot in legs. Must be a hacker cos no one came in the room
Your face and hands are pink. No other pink on the map. See a pink pixel with no tag above it. Shoot it.
Eyes detect motion. This is as true in game as it is in real life. Constantly be moving around, looking around, bouncing up and down you can be seen from a mile away. Expect to die even though no one is near you
Pixels moving against the background. The game map is static. Colours briefly changing in a hedge line for example draws the attention. Oh, it's an enemy soldier. Bang, dead from a mile away.
Bleeding out/lag. Get shot but kill doesn't happen until you have crouched down. Feels like you have been killed when you were behind cover.
Stray rounds. Happens occasionally
There are snipers on the map. Expect to die to them occasionally
There are only so many sensible places for a garrison to be placed. Veteran players know all these places. Also dropping supplies from the sky telegraphs possible enemy garrison positions.
This is not a deathmatch, capture the flag, half a clip to kill someone, kill cam, tiny map, brightly coloured skins, lone wolf, K/D centric, spray and pray, no scope, designated lanes type of game. It requires a lot of communication and teamwork and skill to be effective.
very nice, and as addition... there is no safe place on a battlefield:
artillerie, strafing run or dive bomber, tank HE shells and mines aswell as fragmentation grenades some dont notice ;)
also, i shoot on the ping my squadmates make (in weat fields fE), i have a slightly different angle and hit... thats another reason to communicate.
so many things that new players dont get, but they never admit this because they are soooo good in "that other game"!
TLDR: Get good
to the clown who gave him a clown award... ppl have literally been claiming hacker infestation since about 3 months into steam release. games don't last years w/ an ACTUAL hacker problem
RUST
CSGO
Fork knife
I can keep going
Its one thing to ego ride with your skill, but denying cheater exist is plain stupidity.
Lol insult someone online what an accomplishment PotatoScav very mature
