Easy anti cheat causing unexpected kernel mode trap BSOD

Anyone else with a Ryzen 7 9800X3D gets this error? Haven't played in a week and now everytime EAC loads i get a BSOD. Was trying to reinstall EAC but this did not help. Ive seen that other Games that utilize EAC have this issue too like Star Citizen and Hunt Showdown and everyone mentions the 9800X3D

I am the only user on this PC

Also tried verifying the game files and reinstalled EAC + deleted all associated reg files to EAC

The thing is 1-2 weeks ago I could play w/o problems at all and my Windows updates are currently on hold for some weeks, so I did not update the OS or drivers at all

Are you using Windows 11 24h2 then there is an huge issue with gaming specially with EAC and they didn't fixed this problem.... Better install Windows 10 on your pc and game on

Yes Windows 11 24h2 dont want to go back bc this would be a performance loss, guess I'll wait for an update then

I've watched the video but this did not help, googling a bit more about it and found more threads about it, that are only some days old and everyone mentions the 9800X3D.

So 3 different games, every using EAC + 9800X3D, guess i just chill and do some other stuff, but thanks for help guys!!

Is their bad "anticheat" being a kernel malware itself.

Unfortunately on Windows, anti-cheat software is often given kernel level access which means it can have access to stuff a typical software would not have sometimes resulting in crashing. If you remember the CloudStrike outage last year, the same thing, giving kernel level access to 3rd parties like this is not great and would never fly with Linux.

So if you play a game from a company that you do not really trust, I hope you didn't let them install something with kernel access like an "anti-cheat".

It seems I have the same problem.
I play some recent games, and only starcitizen have the pb (bluescreen at the start)
Ryzen 9800X3D 64Go ram and Windows 11 24H2

Only a downgrade will help, win11 24h2 is buggy as hell
