Foxhole has whole logistics supply and production chains, here u just have supplies to build garrisons or some static defenses thats it.
Currently, theres supplies, which are used to build things, and 3 resources, used for commander abilities, tank spawning, arty shells, and at gun shells. They are Munitions - for commander abilities and arty/at gun shells, manpower - commander abilities only, and fuel - commander abilities to spawn in vehicles and the default spawning in of vehicles.
There are resource nodes for each type that can be built, and the further away from your HQ you build them, the more they are worth. The blueprints for them can only be built in friendly controlled territory. The first two rows/columns from the HQ produce 0 resources, the next two produce 5 for each node, the next 2 produce 10 for each, the two after that 15, and the final 2, where the enemy HQs are, used to produce 20, but you can no longer build there unless its offensive mode.
The engineer role places blueprints for structures such as nodes, defenses, and repair stations. These blueprints can be built by anyone who has a hammer, as long as there are enough supplies nearby to build them. Many infantry roles have a hammer, and more people building at once means it gets built faster. Some of the engineers defenses, the bunker and barricades, can be upgraded by people using hammers on them after they are built if theres enough supplies. The AT role has a loadout that can place the blueprints for a static AT gun, but the role does not have a hammer and so can't build it itself.
The Officer, and Spotter roles can each drop an Outpost for their squads to spawn on, and the Officer, Spotter, and Commander roles can all build garrisons that the whole team can spawn on - these need 50 supplies and can only be placed in friendly territory, 200m apart from another garrison. The next update will add garrisons in enemy territory that are more expensive and have some more restrictions.
I havent yet discussed supplies, so I'll do that now. There are three ways to get supplies: the 1st way is through the support role. It has a box of 50 supplies it can drop, and then has a cooldown of 5 mins before it can drop another (going within 50m of a manpower node will take 2.5 mins off of the cooldown). Placing another box while another of yours is already placed will remove the previously placed one - Youc an only have one placed at a time. The second way to get supplies is from a commander ability, that air drops 100 supplies. This slowly lands and can easily be seen by the enemy, so its not ideal for sneakily building something. Though there can be an infinite number of commander dropped supplies on the ground at once. The third way is with the supply trucks. These vehicles have 2 crates of 150 supplies each, and there is no limit to how many can be placed. This is the best way to get a ton of supplies somewhere to build up a lot. Though the trucks are loud and arent the most maneuverable. You can drop the crates out of the truck by holding down right mouse button, and they can be refilled by going to a rearming station at the HQs, which is also how tanks rearm themselves.
Theres also transport trucks, that can transport up to around 12 people at once.
When you spawn in, you get full ammo, but there are roles with some ammo boxes. The rifleman base loadout has a small arms ammo box, the support role 2nd loadout has a small arms box and an explosive ammo box, the medic 2nd loadout has a medical crate that refills bandages and syringes/morphine-for the medics, the spotter 2nd loadout has a small arms ammo box, and the germans have a lvl 6 rifleman loadout the us doesnt have that has an explosive ammo crate. All of these have a 5 min cooldown after placing, similarly to the supplies, and you can take 2.5 mins off of the cooldown by going within 50m of a built munitions node.
This is the basics on the logistics system of this game so far, if it interests you, feel free to check it out yourself
actual fire fights and gunplay are waaay better on HLL tho. no corner aim gimmics, or lack of resources killing off a front line so the action stays tight and much more consistent.
Game is rather a mix of Company of Heroes and Foxhole, pretty arcade one as well.
