If You Use A Monitor-based Aimpoint, You Are A CHEATER
I really wish monitor manufacturers would stop putting these built-in, aimpoints into their hardware because it is essentially allow people to cheat in games like HLL that do not provide an aimpoint.

It's really easy to spot these guys using them who run-and-gun/hipfire constantly with laser-aim from up to 50 meters ... you will RARELY see them ADS because while it does provide more accuracy, it just isn't necessary and slows them down when they can already see where all their bullets are going with the cheat-based aimpoint.

If you use one or anything else that show the aimpoint in game that doesn't natively gives this to all players ... you're a cheater in the same way as somebody who downloads ESP/wallhack cheat software.

Buy a monitor that has it and turn it on, you will not become better at aiming with how the recoil and sway and other variables are, it merely a selling point and thats it.

Well 1st their crosshair are GIANTS and hide verything
2nd, any guy that played for at least 1-2 years on FPS don't need a crosshair anymore
3rd most of screens disable this function when you start a game

So i don't see the problem here, let's fight aimbots and wallhacks instead of this.

I have a monitor with one of those. So you think it's really good? I'd have to turn it off every time I wanted to take a medium/long distance shot at someone. I can't see myself using it at all.

Community could start some websites selling old detected aimbots. Once Cheaters buy and go online they will be banned and loosing their money - very funny. When there are lots of site selling detected cheats this kills their fun.

i dont want to be around anymore eredeti hozzászólása:
I gave the dot a try because of this thread, just to test. it doesn't really give advantage because hipfire is not consistently at the middle. It seems like they use Red Orchestra style 'where the gun is pointing is where the hipfire will go' mechanic, but I could be wrong about that specific thing. And it makes ironsights less effective.
HLL doesnt use this system for neither hipfire or ads. RO1,RO2,RS1 and RS2 do
Okay, I wasn't sure. I just did notice hipfiring with the dot was not always center hits, must just be a small cone.

Insurgency too and in Arma games you can choose to use it, bit off topic but just in case anyone reads this and wants more of it.
It's a really neat feature for point shooting in games without crosshairs for hipfiring, because it messes up aimbots while at the same time making it a skill other than center-focus.
Is it really cheating if you can do the same thing easily yourself? Get your Tipp-Ex™ out and join the club :steamhappy:
Game has deadzone aiming
I've turned mine on just to try it out and see how much of a contribution it makes. Given I have over 1k hours in the game... it just made things worse.

Anyway... most good players are going to learn where center is on the screen. When I'm not engaged, I constantly pull up the sights on objects to double check my center.

I guess you can call it cheating but no where near the level of an aimbot or other hacks. Plus you can't control for this. You're basically trying to shame ppl into not using it. Has that ever worked... honestly?
