Sprint/Tactical crawling & peeking from prone

*Peeking from prone - When laying in high grass I would love to use the lean keys or some key to peek up a bit to see a few more inches over the tall grass. A new animation would have to be introduced of course. BUT This would be especially useful for machine gunners. While you would return to your normal head position while firing it would still help tremendously.

*Sprint crawl - Sprint crawl/tactical crawl It would be nice to be able to crawl a bit faster if holding sprint while crawling. At a cost of course you would be more so on elbows and knees on an all 4's position. This would also require a new animation but that's no issue.

What do we think about dis?

I’m not a fan. But a way for the mg class to duck down and peek up isn’t a bad idea.

Also they should allow us to rest any weapon(at least long rifles, not SMGs) on cover, not just MGs.

Red Orchestra 2 had a feature where if you deployed a MG while not prone, you could use the crouch key to duck behind cover. It would be really excellent in this game.

I like this idea. I think you can do this in insurgency sandstorm? Hmm I may be mistaken but I know I played some game with this mechanic available for weapons besides bipod weapons.

Can't remember, but was it battlefield that introduced a client side system that the grass would wilt around the player to not be cutting off the view direction in front of the sight?

ARMA had it to where you could kind of tamp down grass around you if you moved on it to clear your LOS. Also had a nice feature where if you were outside another player's grass LOD and you are in concealment like that, you'd 'sink down' on their screen about halfway into the terrain.

Prefer this be an automatic thing, arma adds way to much manual crap just so they can get the award for most buttons used on a keyboard.

It's just moving into and around the grass, it is automatic. No key for it.
