Stuttering
Hi guys,

I’ve been playing for about a month now and am still having issues with stuttering and major frame drops. Currently running a 2080ti so confident its not lack of hardware.

I have tried all graphics settings from high to low.
I’ve formatted my computer, tried all commands in Steam, disabled Nvidia overlay, tried the DX12 command, tried windowed mode, tried it all it seems!

Any sort of advice to resolve or improve stuttering would be greatly appreciated. I’m at a loss.

Sometime "Stuttering" is Ping Time related. Each computer and ISP is different so its hard to say. Maybe a little more info and some of the others folks can help out on this.

Thanks for the input Bishop. I may attempt to play through a VPN to see if I get improvements.

The stutters happen regardless of action on screen. They also occur whether I’m running completely low settings or maxed out.

1GB NBN
I9 9900k
32GB RAM
2080ti
Completely fresh format, all drivers also up to date.

There are some tools that may be able to help you at least on the network side of things. If your a techie a little bit. Traceroute, Ping, and others that might give you some clues here. The 1 Gigabet Internet gear seems impressive. But Cutting Edge/Top End gear may not always have the drivers to deliver that performance until the industry can catch up across the board and actually under perform. Optimization takes time with different hardware and compatibility issues.

Also if you add a VPN, always good from a security standpoint, it adds to the Ping Time as it make the info travel farther/longer.

HLL does have some FPS locks as it trys to balance timing across all players.

So its not quite as easy figure this out as we want it to be as just regular users/person.

Try this
Go to your Windows Settings > Gaming > Graphic Settings (Top Right) > Add HLL set as High Performance

Is your game installed on a HDD or SSD? What anti-virus do you run, if you do exclude the hell let loose folder.

Seems like FOV (field of View) has some impact on game performance. Try setting it like really narrow and then really wide to see if it impact your performance.

what sort of frame count are you getting? do you have any other steam type programs open in that background that hog broadband? has it ever played without stuttering?

I wonder if this guy is actually getting the high performance out of his gear, but the HLL Sync Timing across all players is causing him to encounter studdering?

We aught to start a pool on what this problem is.

Firstly, thanks for all replies in this thread. To answer a couple:

- HLL is installed on an SSD
- I’ve tried manipulating the FoV with little impact on performance.
- My current setup and graphics settings is giving me 120-144fps.
- There are no other open programs in the background and I’ve never had the game run as smoothly as what you would expect. Keep in mind I formatted my PC 4 days back to eliminate any software issues that could have an impact.
- I’ve not played with any Nvidia control panel settings or windows priority settings but will attempt these today and let you know of any results.

Thank you again for the support in trying to find a resolution.

Just curious, can you slow down your graphic setting some where around 60 fps and see what happens? Last time I heard the HLL Data Sync was for standard systems with somewhere around 60 fps. Sound like this guy is beyond that by a ton... But its been awhile for me on this info and the Dev's may have kicked it (FPS game Sync) up. Not sure.

Optimization is ♥♥♥♥

I had this problem. Was unplayable, one day i could run high settings and the next with everything turned to low, id be dropping to 1 frame constantly. Upgraded my cpu and RAM. Now it runs perfect even with my old 1060ti. Anywhere between 100-130fps. Your CPU doesnt sound like the problem though... I'd make sure the Firewall isnt blocking anything, and make sure you join a server with a low ping.

I'm having the same problem as well. It happens randomly for me as well. I'm running an I9 10900k with a 3090. It's not an internet issue for me. I have my graphics settings for better visibility and get random stutters/freezing. It's the worst on Stalingrad. I noticed it started after update 11.
