I mean running for long distances isn't hard when you are in shape, especially when you are filled with adrenaline. The stamina meters in most games seem to reflect the programmers more than the soldiers they are programming lol....
Realism is a spectrum and on that this game isn't even remotely close to a military simulation.
Try running long distances with 50kg of gear attached to your body lmao. In this game you are sprinting across the map non-stop 90% of the time, in real life that would take hours and you won't be running, only walking. Squad simulates this well and so does Arma 3. If you want 'realism' then go and play those games.
This was actually explained a long time ago, back in the 90s and early 2000s, by Devs. Keep in mind the aspect ratio of monitors at the time, was not widescreen, or ultra widescreen, etc...
Back then, when somebody wanted to tweak the FOV, it was usually because they had hooked up to their big screen TV, so they felt they could sacrifice some magnification to get a wider FOV, for more situational awareness.
These days, with so many people running wide, ultra wide, etc., they do the opposite. Sacrifice situational awareness to the sides, to have a better zoom.
I didn't read the thread. Just the OP, then responded.
Well, having ran track in high school, and having been in the military for 2 years, I couldn't deal with Generation Zero and its ridiculously short sprint time, for a character that was supposed to be older high school/younger college student age.
So I installed a mod that allowed me to sprint for 60 seconds. Any young man that age, who can't sprint for 60 seconds, isn't in very good shape.
Go back to crying about achievements lol nobody asked you.
I own both of those games. And heavy gear might tire you out in basic training but not in a battlefield with bombs going off, bullets flying, you are pumped with adrenaline and scared for your life and to add to that the nazi's did meth. Tell me you are out of shape without telling me you're out of shape.
