Yeah I know but people ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about Call of Duty and Battlefield taking liberties and being ahistorical but giving this game a free pass is disgusting. We need to hold all devs accountable. The devs market this game as a historical accurate and authentic tactical WW2 shooter yet they're also playing fast and loose with historical events.
as a world war 2 historian, i can verify that it was entirely possible that completely different looking units fought alongside each other in the same battle , specially in the later stages of the war.
however , i agree that seeing snow uniforms in non-snow map doesn't make sense, same if they add North Africa, etc.
for those saying that they lose their "immersion" at seeing such things, I hate to break it to you, but your immersion went out the window when you sat at your PC chair , playing a silly PC ww2 game.
"oooh noez!! the wrong tank at Stalingrad!!!, and there shouldn't be any airborne here! waaaaah!! muh immerzzzions!". - please go out and breath dude/girl. really, you need the oxygen.
you sound ridiculous.
Hey bamboon brain bonobo ape boy nice smooth brain take. Ya'll whine and cry over women being in Battlefield 5 and COD WW2 so shut up your fat neckbeard face. Hell Let Loose markets itself as a historically accurate and authentic WW2 game dummy. If I wanted to play a WW2 shooter with red dot sights I'd play COD WW2 or Vanguard. Hell Let Loose started as a historically authentic and accurate depiction of the Western Front but with each new update it's become more and more arcade like and accessible. The devs are just lazy or greedy with all the new paid DLC and useless cosmetics. I like how you're insulting me under the same breath showing how much of a dumb monkey you are. Maybe you need to go outside baby boy if you're so offended by my criticisms.
Just out of curiosity - do you uniform naz- er, "sticklers," shall we say, also take issue with the German uniform jackboots? Given that the game primarily takes place in 1944, long after jackboots stopped being issued and the vast majority of Heer troops were using ankle boots and gaiters (as depicted on the DLC Zeltbahn uniform)?
I will wait for your keen insight and concern over this glaring - nay, literally unplayable issue, and then maybe we can talk about the gross, heinous crime of rolled-up-sleeves customizations.
also they added nkvd outfits (yeah same guys known for genocide of poles and other ethnicities), but they are still afraid to add SS camo outfits and uncensor swastika. Nice double standards.
I believe its against the law in Germany to Show/promote the swastika. Not sure about the SS gear being against the law, but I am pretty sure it would "Trigger a lot Criticism" that would not be beneficial to HLL.
if there are any of our German folks out there, maybe they could update us on the current state of affairs in this regards.
Basically every sign, insignia, symbol, flag, and honor badges/rank badges (of ns-organisations, not Wehrmacht) is against the law in Germany. Not only against the law, but they are crimes (I mean a parking violation is against the law too).
Even the celtic-cross (because it was used by neo-nazi organisations) is forbidden. Also most "old-germanic" runes are forbidden for the same reason.
Also, using/showing them is not only against the (normal) law, it's against the german constitution. You can get sentenced up to three years in prison for it, and people "regularly" get sentenced to prison for the "hitler-salute" (mostly "only" 6 months - 1 year) or to high monetary fines (5.000 Euros etc.).
This is a very sensitive topic in Germany and a game with content that's against the constitution would be indexed at the instant (so it would be illegal to buy/own it).
Wow...
Seems a little much after 80 years or so. Here in the USA we build/have built statues to both our Heroes and Villains/Foes less we forget there deeds
