Lost connection to server issue

Has any one else had issue connecting to servers after this last update? I had no problem before hand connecting and nothing has changed on my end in the sense of internet connection and computer. I have tried several different servers after waiting in queue it goes to the loading screen then after a few minutes will say lost connection to host. The second issue is when I pick a side it will say couldn't authenticate and kicks me out.

I have since uninstalled and reinstalled and verified integrity of files.

Any one have any suggestions?

Same here - no solution yet. Looks like a widespread issue after the most recent update...

Yeah, the new update made the game unplayable because of the Lost connection to host message when joining a server.

Sorry to say., but t seems the devs don't care about that. Meanwhile, with bargain sales new players are faced with this issue. What a shame.

here is something that worked for me as a gamer who bought game 24 hours ago and started having connection issues

1. I opened forward ports on router with TCP and UDP ports listed by Team17 . You can find these official port numbers if you search a bit

27036
27000-27031


2. i copied below to a text file and then save it as flush.bat
i double click it while being in game just before refreshing/loading up a server list to join

I had the same issue and I have a workaround. Real simple. For some reason the last update made the game load up very slow. Even when you're at the main menu, there seems to be a lot of background processes still loading up with the game. All you need to do is wait in the main menu for a few minutes (max 5 minutes) and you will load into a match every time when you select a server.

You just need a little patience. Mess around in the barracks or make a tea/coffee.
