Ping is a LIE!

So in the server browser, I click the ping option which brings the lowest ping servers up to the top. One server says 30 ms. Okay, great. I join and im getting over 80 ms. Is there a reason for this?

Same here, I only go to real low ping servers and I usually get around 80 to 90something when in game. Not sure how much that impacts gameplay, though (in my case).

When you are in the server browser your computer isn't doing much. In game your processor is bogged down with the game and running your network stack. Many games show this same latency decrepency, it's not unique to HLL. If you take a CPU heavy game like HLL, run it on a bloated OS like Windows this should be expected...

Before last update was OK, when I seen on browser 20 I've similar in game.
Now after update I'm joining to server 19ms and have 96ms and processor utilization 6.4%.
It is not processor load it's a game issue.
