It will detract a bit from having a good experience, but not that much. There's plenty of ppl playing that don't communicate at all.

You absolutely can. SQ leading is probably not suggested, though most players dont like SQ leading anyways. Just follow your SQ leader whenever you can and you'll be good to go.

Yes you can play. Just follow commands. Half the people dont talk anyway.

If you can type then let your squad lead know ahead of time the situation and use the indicators or whatever it's called when you hold down the scroll wheel on your mouse you can state various spotting commands. This game is not forgiving to no-mic players so best of luck if you take the plunge.

Sure! I've been playing this with a steamdeck only. I've got no mic . You can still communicate with the controllers. There is a series of basic communications available wich you can select. This then pops up on the screen , so everybody can see this. However they do no reply most of the time...

Probably get kicked from a few but yeah, more people will be upset if you are squad leader and cmdr and some servers wont accept you but I dont speak in game.

Just play rifleman and run with your squad and tell SL thats ok with almost all

90% of players dont even talk anymore, it's a huge problem since the game used to be so much fun with the roleplaying and comms. Don't feel bad tho just enjoy the game :D

You can just do the quick command communication through keybinds which then comes out on the chat. And also follow what your Squad lead tells you. Down side is, you cannot play as Squad Lead as its vital you can use Mic with SL.

learning how to type fast,on squad chat, and using the commo rose - yes it can be done.

but communication is needed for sure.
