whats killing my is frame drops, maybe they should add low fi models or something for ultralow settings, idk im not a game programmer.
Another games, like an CS, BF, CoD (fake ballistics) are actually "laser" pointer games, straight line from barrel to the aim point, maybe simple latency added with curve to make illusion of bullet flyline, example on Battlefield -series.
On HLL, ballistics are more precise/heavier to calculate (on client/server side). Thats one reason to high server side pings(latency) vs. another online games.
You noticed, low player count on server = low ping, on same server maxed (99/100 players) and your ping is doubled.
