its basically the same, similar mechanics ect.... just WW2 themed. I personally prefer hell let loose over squad.

Its far from dead. Getting a major content update soon and armor overhaul. It only seems "dead" because when people play it they actually PLAY it. Instead of just trolling games or playing a arcade playstyle all game like in HLL.

PS has more realism and quality than this game will EVER have. I have never raged so hard trying to shoot a guy running at me with a kar98k in my life, doing it in PS however its clean and smooth. You dont have to shoot at janky moving character animations in there unlike HLL.

Squad is more of a simulator but it's from 2015 and old. Squad actually has amazing sounds and fear of death due to tickets etc.

HLL is very arcade, there is no lives, no tickets, no fear of death, unlimited respawns.
The sounds are really bad.

it's not hard to spot ennemies in either game, you just have to look. Most people run more than they scan/scout

@OP

No. This is closer to Battlefield. If you want Squad WW2 go for Post Scriptum, since that has the closest gameplay to Squad.

Squad is more focused on the Squad and teamwork. HLL is more focused on combat and action.

Its not really the same, i mean yes you have squads you have to join but there are no real complex mechanics involved when it comes to HLL. You have some crude weapons that are only shadows of their originals, no stamina mechanics, object penetration doesnt work properly and the suppression fire mechanic is weird. And so on and so on...

rofl and that is why most PS players now play HLL and PS servers are empty

I bought this game today and this game is WAY WAY WAY better than squad and post scriptum both this games are empty and maps are so small also squad have terrible weapon system than Post Scriptum but when I joined server in HLL I just see how this game relies on communicating with team mates, you have only medic can revive you so its great it force you to play with your team instead of solo gameplay. Also environment is so realistic and you need to be careful and have eyes open because enemies can be everywhere. Its comepletly diffrent experience than in SQ or PS finnaly your uniform means something because this grey german outfit can hide you very good. BUY THIS GAME

I definitely disagree in squad you can play alone easly also you can spot enemies easili because your solidier model is so fu cking big. HLL is just placed in WW2 where you had heavy combat. Squad is diffrent it tries to recreate modern conflit in middle east which is slow war and sometimes boring.

To you maybe. Squad is definitely a lot more 'realistic' than HLL, that's plainly obvious to anyone that's played it. It also has MUCH better effects and sounds than HLL. Sound is a BIG deal in these type of games. It's honestly the only redeeming quality of Battlefield. You need to devote a lot more time to Squad/PS however, and that is why the player counts in PS are so much lower.

Yeah in WW2 in comparison to todays warfare the soldiers were more agile and faster. Both of my grandfathers did rocketjumps and swandived with dualwielded shotguns into hordes of enemies. I'm fairly dissappointed that HLL doesn't depict that truthfully.
