No, I assure you, there were no garrisons ANYWHERE near me (well over 2 grid cells away)
I hate having to find the micron on the map that allows you to build a garrison. I set my mouse way down to 600 DPI (out of 9000) playing this game and even with a slow mouse it's a PITA.
there doesn't really seem to be any logic to it unless i'm still missing something? if i'm an officer, i have to prone to build an outpost. it's like that for everyone?
when you look at your map, zoom out as much as it let you, these big squares on the map are 200m x 200m each, it's the easiest way to know where you can place a garry.
Everytime this seemlingly happened to me, it always was me simply not noticing the other garry and I'm happy to admit that.
Also keep in mind that you can't build further than 2 red sectors deep.
Anyways, the next it happens just record it and sent a bug report.
I wasn't further than 2 red sectors in, and I promise you, there were no other garrisons nearby. I had command chat yelling at me to place down the garrison because of this but the game wouldn't let me
