Help guide for the Commander role
One of the toughest roles to play in HLL is the commander role. Most new players don't fully understand and end up doing more harm then good in playing the matches.

Therefore, here are a few videos that could help you become a better Commander if you choice to watch them.

Thank you for the guide. I find it exciting that the role of the commander is perceived very differently by the players. Some still actively play as a commander. Some see the role more strategically and go to some point where you have the map open most of the time and coordinate. I belong more to the latter category. But I must also honestly say that otherwise I can not keep track of the right measure.

drop supplies often
build garrisons
dont give noobs heavy tanks make them use mediums
don't just drop bombing runs whenever they're off cooldown save them for a good push
build more garrisons
literally don't stop building garrisons

But you should be careful not to abuse the commander as a cheap garrison pawn. The task of building garrisons also falls to squad leaders. They also have the ability to do this!

When I play commander I usually refuse to drop supplies. Any squad can do that. When a commander drops supplies, a giant red billboard drops from the sky that says "Hey! Here I am! Come kill me!"
Here's a good one:
Drop supplies as a distraction. The other team sees it and floods that area while none of your men are there. Smoke grenades do the same thing. It's glorious.

Supply drops have a 2 minute cool down and if a commander does random supply drops across the map it will confuse the enemy as well as make it easier for squad leaders and recons to setup Garrisons.

..and you will end up having supplies all over the map. Opening up some crazy possibilities on garrys/PAKs/Barbwire/etc.

Yes it will. But the Commander can delete the garrisons as needed. Plus if the capture the area where these items are they will automatically despawn.
