Wall jumping/vaulting
I love the game, but the one major annoyance is the jumping/vaulting mechanic, it really needs working on, half the time i die due to getting stuck trying to get over a fence or a wall

Lmao they recently did a rework on it less than a year ago. Is it better than before? I couldn't tell but I don't trust Team 17 to do anything right unless it comes to selling DLCs. They are good at that.

When you go to vault something, HOLD spacebar. Not tap. Works every time for me.

It's not an issue for me, but again I tend to go around boulders and not into them.

Had huge problems with this too untill recently after I made a topic about it too. There I got the tip to only try and jump over obstacles at a straight 90 degrees angle and since I conciously started doing this my failure rate has gone down dramatically. Also don't press too late when already touching the obstacle.

I would be less annoying, even funny, if you actually tripped over. But yes - it is annoying af.

I dunno, I have looked at the DLC a couple of times and each time I say - just too pricey.
If they did a bundle offer for all of it for about 1/4 of the full retail price, I would consider it.

Alternatively, if they were making a serious effort to fix the other issues, then it might be worth throwing them a few bucks at full price.

It's more than that. Basically any interaction between the player and the world or between objects needs a complete overhaul. Another change to vaulting won't change the "clunky" feeling that the game has at its core and which leads to all kinds of buggy behavior.

Add, being barely able to mantle the machine gun on anything. Want to shoot from the metal rear of a burnt out tank? No you can't put up your bipod. Want to mount your MG on wire fencing? Sure, go ahead.

I think it's perfect, once you get the sense of height to vault/climb and understand the held spacebar mechanic ; this game is easy parkour.

You've obviously never walked in the forest, tried to walk over a fallen tree, 4 inches high. tried to jump over it and then found yourself jumping up and down without moving forwards, until it's easier to either go around or step back to take a running jump.

Jump and crouch like an old source game.

The point is that you shouldn't get stuck on scenery in 2024.
