The majority of first generation map design was nothing more than a place holder. Newer maps have more strategic efficiencies than older versions.
I had some thought about this and mainly its the old middle points I prefer. Maybe its just because I have alot of good old memories on the old maps. For me personally I seem to have more fun on the old maps. I think there's less close quarter combat on the new maps, which i really do cherish the close quaters on HLL and think theres not really enough of it. I think the variation in fights is mostly open fields and this map change supports that.
Hi AIF | MindFreak idk why the devs didnt leave teh old version in rotation or even allowed private server admin to have an option to enable it and put it in rotation in replacement or allong side the old map for their server, that would have been the sensiable thing to do and givin the player base a little bit of variety, but we're simply not allowed aything like that.
Foy used to be 10x worse believe it or not.
They need a way that they can progressively push through the fields which isnt just running and dying.
They have nothing historical anyway. It's just a reproduction of a photo without going on the terrain to see how it is made. They should more focus of making map who are interesting in terms of gameplay instead of trying to fail the authenticity of the location.
