When will player actually learn to play the primary game mode?
Devs need to just aim for Red orchestra 2. Great direction, obviously OG HLL is on the chopping block.
Skirmish would not exists otherwise, particularly when there is a well known lack of game knowledge. It also does not feature the primary concern of many veteran players : Garrisons, and the disturbing (lol) trend of not building them.
So yeah, skirmish is like going "You desperately need water? well...here's a bag of salty potato chips."
I don't think hll is a good enough shooter to hold that type for long though, without the teamplay in a squad the game's wank.
On thing that might help, would be if the objective was to control the point for some period of time, either:
Using time would mean that one sided games are quick and hard fought games would go on a bit longer.
Couldn't agree more, it just feels like normal fighting over 1 point, its nothing new
I also don't want it to speed up to be more like cod, thats not what HLL is about
I don't get why they don't just develop more map content. The rest of the game is fine as it is.
Yeah its really stupid when one team holds the point up until the last minute and then loses the game. Happened to me twice..
^^^^^
This is probably the dumbest part about Skirmish, the amount of QoL in the game mode that could easily be applied to Warfare or even Offensive is ridiculous.
Okay but what's wrong with the current method of seeding which is to put the server on a popular map and have people join to bring the numbers up, and then you can start playing the game as normal when there's enough people.
Imagine if they put the same resources they put towards Skirmish towards QoL changes to the current game or reworks of systems that have been needing changes for some time.
T17 have been mismanaging HLL and misunderstanding the community they have since they've taken over full development, and Skirmish is a *very* clear sign of this.
