meh puts US at a tactical disadvantage when germans can cook grenades and US can't. I'm sure plenty of US soldiers cooked grenades in ww2.
And if the US could cook, Devs would add the same sound mechanic. Unless you're already pinned down, you aren't getting killed by a US grenade. If you're clearing a building/room, cooking a couple seconds off before a throw is much more advantageous than the drawback of the cooking sound.
With how slow weapon swap in, its easy to kill people that have thrown a grenade at you with no cook time on it. I can kill you or duck around a corner if i'm not already getting pinned down.
And what if you miss and the grenades bounces off of the wall? At best you kill only yourself, at worst some teammates (and getting kicked for too many TKs).
Unless you are staring right at the person throwing the Mk2/see the grenade in the air, there's very high chance you're getting blown up.
I get away from US grenades and kill US throwers far more often than germans. I also get far more grenade kills playing as germans specifically because I can cook them. This is a really weird hill for you to die on. Its unbalanced and its realistically possible to cook a Mk2. So don't go the authentic route because they 100 percent cooked Mk2 grenades in WW2.
