This game also runs super good on my 7700 xt 7600x "rig". So much so I have to cap fps...
Use startparameters in Steam is also very helpful.
-dx12 -USEALLAVAILABLECORES -malloc=system -high
I have the same specs, except I have a 3080. You don't get 90fps "easily" on ultra with "occasional dips". Don't talk absolute nonsense.

also... DLSS is an Nvidia thing, so all AMD cards stay out?
why do you want something only one company produces? do you get paid for this?
Nvidia has the highest market share by far which is why people ask specifically for DLSS. It will improve performance at the cost of image quality. FSR is a more universal solution but has even worse quality, XeSS is equivalent to DLSS but the dp4a fallback on non Intel GPUs just isnt as good.
that sounds alot like monopoly and will in fact divide the gamers even more as they already are.
another thing about all those new gimmics is, they are not for the majority of the players who often still play on average 5 years old hardware and older. alot also dont play everything in 4k where these functions work and shine.
and in the end it is a mask, a scam, instead of using high quality textures, you add a script with ai that immitates those.
and all just for those who play on very expensive hardware on stupidly high graphics, distracting from the actual gameplay and reducing it to the ever same game just with some other looks and worse performance too :(
id like any developer to focus more on gameplay then a slightly better graphic that costs alot of computing power.
again, my first question was "why does everyone think that adding another script or function will IMPROVE performance?" - it does only on high end and not necessary expensive toys!
And yes, you could consider Nvidia a monopoly.
DLSS supports Nvidia GPUs up to 6 years back, FSR supports GPUs further back than that.
No, upscaling like DLSS is not a scam replacement for high quality textures. It allows the player to lower their base resolution from say 1440p to 1080p to gain performance, then use an AI based upscaler to make it look closer to 1440p with a low performance hit, resulting in a net performance gain and an image that looks better than 1080p but worse than 1440p. If you want to talk about the decline of game optimization since DLSS's inception that is one thing, blaming it as a replacement for high quality textures is just wrong.
"why does everyone think that adding another script or function will IMPROVE performance?"
DLSS/ FSR/ XeSS does improve performance, you can look at quite literally any benchmark for any game and you will see the performance improvement. Upscalers/ FG are less for high end systems and more for the lower end systems where people would use them to perhaps get from 50 to 60fps.
all the development goes into a slighly better looking (realistic) visuals, but the games performance is dropping, the only thing that keeps games running today is expensive hardware, what is again - the wrong way.
and even then, they could use better textures now, but they add a script for a ai generated mask.
the idea was fine when the hardware wasnt capable but everyone was screaming 2k/4k ;) that still the only place that makes sense to have.
today you need a 1k $ GPU to keep a performance like 10 years ago, for 1k or 1440 we dont need that anymore.
my greatest problem with this is, why add this into a game to support one company only, that will have a bad smell on the game, if it prefers one over the other.
either they find something that all can use or no game should support any of that.
however, the greatest flaw in this game are the players themselfs, and since everyone is focused on how it looks, they never learn to play.
wrong prioritys!
and everyone keeps spending their money for this BS
thats all from me, have fun with your 70fps on a 1k card but fake 4k
DLSS is the one that lowers the resolution and upscales the image. It upscales the ENTIRE IMAGE; not textures. You just dont understand.
Nvidia, AMD, and Intel all have development tools to make implementing these upscalers easier. Though im not going to pretend I know why they havent been implemented yet.
In my opinion I dont think we'll see much in terms of HLL updates aside from the cosmetic stuff (new maps, uniforms, weapons, vfx, sfx, etc). The game has been established as it is and I dont think Team 17 have the will to do complete overhauls.
the whole PC development is focused on gaming, all the power we have in these machines is to waste time when we dont work.
no application we use other then games needs all this!
WRONG PRIORITYS - this game needs at first a playerbase that is willing to learn the ropes and use the friggin comms!!
but no, we discuss fracking graphics and one sided developments in the industrial and economic world!
the game will not improve by adding anything but brains to the people XD
good hunting ;)
the game has a very dedicated player base and an average of 10000 players on steam alone is pretty decent. The game has content and new maps every few months. Not sure on what planet you are on, probably planet Epic, but here on Steam we have been waiting for Hell Let Loose to get a new UE4 upgrade since 2018, that is how old the engine is.
As a developer myself, a new game engine could not be of higher priority.
The only one that shows no brain is you.
I'm here with my RTX3060 12GB and Ryzen 5 5600G being on ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fire with my 6 fans blazing despite my fan curve and whatnot and everything being on medium or OFF at 1920x1080, and FPS limited to 60. I do have the steam parameters, the cfg edits, etc. and my CPU/GPU still get up to 65C with lots of stuttering and even sub-60fps.
Is my rig just not good enough or is there smth I can do? Thanks in advance
oh my ^^
if you are realy a developer... well XD
the game engine is much older then 2018, so this shows how much you know as developer XD
and if you have followed the development of UE5 then you know that it has just a slightly better performance IF you buy the latest (ergo: expensive and power hungry) hardware!
all that power and money goes into a graphics that is a little closer to realistic, but still not quit yet.
and that has an impact on the performance that most identifie with fps.
there are videos where people play those games that are already converted to UE5 and the conclusion is often - not worth it!
nice graphics, but only in parts better, like some effects, rain, enviroment mirroring in the water puddels, skin of playermodels... all irrelevant if that gameplay doesnt leave time to simply look around - what most certainly is the case in a full scale wargame like HLL!
there are so many other things that have to be fixed first, that changing that engine is a waste of time and manpower.
deveolping a completly new game will be more effective and cheaper too!
but you already should know all this as DEVELOPER
and in the end, it is all about the players who dont give a **** about the actual game = no brains, just shoot stuff! - see those new players currently - and no i dont even have an epic account XD
so you should consider to come down from your high horse, accusing and insulting people who have resonable arguments! you developer XD
