Don't forget to build garrisons!
This is a PSA for the new players who like to jump straight into the action and ignore all the logistics of the game.

When you load into a match check the map. If your team has 2 or less garrisons behind the active defense line you should volunteer to help build garrisons. Join a squad, take support and drop a supply box where you think a garrison needs to be. Then have your squad leader make the garrison there. If the squad leader (for whatever reason) doesn't want to do this, start you need to redeploy immediately and start your own squad so you can make it yourself. This way when your team inevitably loses that point they will have someplace to respawn that isn't the HQ spawn bring camped by an enemy tank.

I'm getting tired of always being the guy who has to be the one to make the back up garrisons, often times having to make the garrisons single handedly. It's very time consuming having to do it all on my own. But I do it because many times has my garrison been the lone garrison left because nobody else wanted to make the garrisons. And it was my garrison that allowed us to claw our way back into the game.

So please, check the map and ensure your team always has a fallback position to spawn in from. I really want to see other people show initiative instead of whining about the lack of garrisons. Get map awareness. Stop being selfish. Start building garrisons.

Its insane how common it is, especially with how easy it is to put garries up. I had built a garry way off to the side of the map with the intention of flanking(My squad was going for a flank). Our team loses the first point and someone proceeds to whine in the chat about my garrison being "the worst garry ever".

Worst garrison ever because him and everybody else on the team didn't build even one garrison. Everyone wants to win the game, but nobody wants to actually do the work.

Building garrys is work, (unappreciated sl's have enough to do ffs) most people just want to have fun and play an fps and who can blame 'em.

Me. I can blame them.

I know how much work is required to make one because I do it all the time. I can only make a garrison by myself once every 10-15 minutes. Its a small personal sacrifice I make for the team's success, only for it to be squandered because I am the only one manning up to do it. I know the new guys don't know any better but by level 20 I would expect that they at least understand the concept. But its not really a knowledge issue, its more of an "I don't want to do it" issue.

You hit the nail on the head here. Too many noobs, too many free weekends, and too many illiterates that never learned the importance of reading manuals. Maybe someone should make a tiktok about how the game works.

Nope. Nearly 700hrs with 99% of that time as an effective sl, putting in garrys, herding cats, doing wide flanks and being a team player for very little reward or satisfaction. I've had rounds where I've not even fired my gun ffs.
I have a full time job I don't need to be working in hll, you get a good squad and the game can be ok but I've never had as good a time as I've had in the Red O and Rising Storm games.
Janky game and glad to see the back of it, just hoping 83 can be as good as RO/RS.
