what does it matter?
they are just the same armys we have now, one uses german gear the other... not!

yesterday we had an anouncment of what is to come in '24 - how did you miss that? how would they add another big update in the last 2 weeks when most of their staff is already decorating their home for that fat bearded guy in red?

new maps will come, but i dont know why everyone asks for either the pacific (what will come some day) or this finnish and polish?

wasnt that just a joke because of the words mean something else in english??

they won't add anything that reminds everyone how Venäjä sai perseensä polkasta.

and now it isn't fashionable to massacre japanese on banzai charges, so they won't add that either.

euro vs euro fighting is OK with them though

How??

It's the winter war, and Finland didn't use German gear, they had their own weapons and equipment. As did Poland. Fairly simple?

And obv people are asking for pacific since it was one of the biggest theaters of war.

finnish and polish - the game - not the forces.

i have not read anything official (but that can be my mistake). Polish pilots where in the battle of Britain included, but as part of the British Airforce.

and while there where certainly more countrys involved in WW2, not all will be developed for one or two maps. they wont make all the effords to include every nation, like the British Expeditionary Force that fought alonside the French (who are also not in the game) in the beginning of the war.
or the Australian Army, Air Force and Navy, in Europe - we may find them later in the Pacific theatre.

there is already far to much complaints about the propper uniforms and weaponry on certain maps. developing such small units for a single map (or 2) doesnt make economicly sense.

Pacific was always on the development map, that is a resonable expectation.

just not in the last 2 weeks of '23 ^^ that was the original question. need to read in context, then everything makes more sense ;)

Actually, that's not entirely accurate—Finland's military equipment during 1936-1944 was far from being mostly German. While Finland did acquire some German gear, particularly during the Continuation War (1941-1944) due to collaboration with Germany against the Soviet Union, the Finnish Defense Forces primarily used a mix of domestically produced, captured, and imported weapons from a variety of countries. Here's a breakdown of some of the key weapons used by Finland during that period:

Small Arms:

Rifles:
Mosin-Nagant M/91 and M/39 ("Ukko-Pekka"), most of which were captured or modified Soviet rifles.
Mauser rifles, including M/27 and M/28-30, based on the Mosin-Nagant design and manufactured domestically.
Submachine Guns:
Suomi KP/-31, a domestically designed and highly effective submachine gun.
Captured Soviet PPSh-41 and PPD submachine guns.
Pistols:
Lahti L-35, a Finnish-designed semi-automatic pistol.
Various foreign pistols like the German Luger P08 and Soviet TT-33.
Machine Guns:

Light Machine Guns:
Lahti-Saloranta M/26, a Finnish-designed light machine gun.
Captured Soviet DP-27.
Heavy Machine Guns:
Maxim M/09-21, a Finnish modification of the Russian Maxim machine gun.
Artillery and Mortars:

Finnish forces used a mix of domestic, captured, and imported artillery, including:
Captured Soviet 76.2 mm divisional guns and howitzers.
Bofors 37 mm anti-tank guns (Swedish).
Domestic Tampella mortars.
Armored Vehicles:

Finland acquired German StuG III assault guns later in the Continuation War.
However, many tanks were captured Soviet models, such as T-26 light tanks and BT-series tanks.
Finland also modified and reused obsolete or damaged tanks creatively.
Aircraft:

Fokker D.XXI fighters (Dutch origin, some built under license in Finland).
Brewster Buffalo fighters (American).
Later in the Continuation War, German-supplied Messerschmitt Bf 109 fighters became prominent.
Naval Forces:

Finnish Navy primarily consisted of domestically built vessels like the Väinämöinen-class coastal defense ships.
While Finland did make use of some German equipment—particularly later in the war—its arsenal was diverse and heavily reliant on domestic production, captured Soviet gear, and imports from countries like Sweden, France, and the Netherlands. The ingenuity of the Finnish military in adapting and maintaining this eclectic mix of equipment was a crucial factor in their ability to resist a much larger Soviet force during both the Winter War (1939-1940) and the Continuation War.

its is IRRELEVANT!

that roadmap was abandoned long ago, all wepons are only divided into classes, so any other skinned longrifle WILL have the same dmg as the others.
in the end, updating to such factions is neglectable since there are others more present that can be added to existing and comming maps.

and on top of that... since the OT was made, there have been barly any fixes, some new issue introduced and a whole campaign abandoned... do you realy think this is important now?

did you realy have to digout this anchient post to tell me that you are a nerd and know better?

WHO CAIRS - the real joke here is.... :) finnish and polish - the game - not the forces.
