Sounds like you're playing on official servers or something. If "at least 10 cheaters" are in a game insta doming people and being invincible, then don't join that server again since clearly the admins are awful.
Also please learn to use some punctuation. So hard to read what you said.
totally agree with you, most likely the people who say things like ( i not seen any ) or try and make out the games not infected with cheaters are them self's cheaters or couldn't spot a cheater. using map hacks aim bots and all the other crap they now do. showing garri, ops, nodes supplies. one google search comes up with 10's of pages and youtube videos trying to sell them. all boasting how they easily bypass easi anty cheat ( which is and has always been the WORST anti cheat ever ).
Its become a lot worse since the game went on sale.
whats more shocking is the total lack of people that want to stop it. soon as anyone posts about cheaters the post gets infected with scum trolls and D heads.
After 1000+ hours and playing to many competitive games to count, i find that cheaters have become a real problem to the point where it will kill the game.
"I don't mind being outskilled"
Clearly. LOL
I will quote a comment i saw in facebook HLL community - someone asked "why cheat?" Here is the comment:
"Most people here who says they play for 999999 hours and didnt see hacks are mostly too old or no sense of a real fps game who doesnt know hacks capabilities or they hack thenmselves and they do not want it patched/fixed.
Most of the cheaters here in HLL are not aimbots/speedhack/fly etc or the ones that you can easily spot. Cheaters are not stupid and the game wont let you know if someone is using wallhacks / ESP.
Thats what most players use in this game. Pretending to be all so good at spotting enemies. You all know what im talking about. If You can sense theres something wrong? Probably high chance there is. Thats the problem with this game. Easy to hack and no evidence they are hacking.
They blame it on the game lacking rendering, skill issues, gitgud etc and all excuses but truth is even the hack defenders here and on steam uses wallhacks and ESPs, they just dont want it patched coz its their advantage so theyll keep on saying theres no hacks. Its just a matter of whos team uses it well wins. People will also tell you to go play on community servers with active admins to avoid cheaters and if you ask them what server they wont give it as you can check the status of the server. Theres a pattern with all the same excuses and replies you will get just to pretend that this game has no hacks as it claims to be.
Check steam discussions and look for the cheat and hack topics, you will get same replies and its weird.
WHY WOULD YOU THINK THAT HLL DOES NOT HAVE RAMPANT HACKS WHILE 100% OF OTHER FPS/MP GAMES ARE INFESTED WITH IT? HLL SO SPECIAL? EVEN AAA HIGH QUALITY BIG GAMES ARE INFESTED AND YOU ARE SAYING HLL HAS NO CHEATERS? LOL"
Alternatively: You aren't very good at the game and blaming "rampant cheats" is more appealing to your fragile ego than actually improving. Which is the case for a majority of individuals like yourself.
Not really a great comeback when he has some legitimate points. You just assume he's bad at the game? What if he isn't? But it is interesting how you always defend the game. I'll tell you I'm definitely better than the average player (not hard, I know) and I kinda agree about cheaters being fairly common in the game. I have enough hours in the game am just not completely oblivious to tell. It's a legitimate issue that deserves attention. It brings down the quality of the game. Even one cheater is too many. Why should we just disregard it completely?
They're not even his points. He says he copy and pasted them from a facebook comment.
I do assume he's just bad at the game because there's context that is now hidden from the rest of the community. When he originally started posting here, he had his steam profile public and his playtime was sub 50 hours.
People also seem to wrongly assume I'm "defending the game" when I'm just giving my own takes that are made from a balanced perspective of playing 100s of FPS games in nearly every genre in existence for over 20 years. If you asked me about another game, you might find my perspective entirely different, but people don't do that.
Cheaters are always less prevalent in games with no form of rewards or leaderboards. I'm not saying they don't exist, I have never denied their existence, but when you're speaking to people who believe the "1 in 3 players are cheating" quote like Ezeq, meaning that they legitimately think that 33 players per HLL match are cheating, saying that you'll only find 1-2 in a match if any at all is going to upset people like that.
I agree with you about the "one cheater is too many" but to me there's no valid way to make the problem fully without some very extreme compromises.
If only there was just a little more fear that cheats were being actively investigated and the threat of being caught/banned more real and immenint - I think that could be a better reality. But I realize that kind of work takes resources and has little incentive (because most cheaters probably go undetected, so it doesn't affect public opinion of the game much). But maybe awareness would make a difference, I don't know.
