Honestly move speed is what it is, should be a little slower though, but there's already a hundred threads on that so.
Driel avoids the Remagen problem and El Alamein is anything but super open.
There are enough rocks, dunes, hills and ruins to move and flank.
And guess what the movespeed buff helps with that.
At the distance the infantry fights take place in E-Alamain the Bolt-Action guns dont one-hit-kill anymore. So you need at least 2 bullets for every single person with like a 5 to 6 round clip...
Thats fatal fighting machine guns that on ther other hand snipe you down having almost zero spread.
(whats up with the british guns and iron sights blocking half the screen?)
I like the tank and AT-Gun play in El-Alamain.
Edit/PS*:
People called this game a walking simlulator and it was the running gag ever since.
Now the dev's finally adress it by increasing the overall walking speed and everyone is mad.
the game already had render issues where objects disappear at a distance but you can still see the player behind it, so you shoot at invisible walls...now its like trying to shoot someone in a playdoh environment where half the terrain objects arent rendering.
its almost like the maps were created and the devs realized testing it that it took forever to cross a completely empty desert so they buffed run speed (that no one asked for). trying to balance the game for 1-2 maps by implementing something like runspeed...you are just breaking the other maps. have fun finding all the unreachable spots pre-update we can get to now that we move 15% faster.
With the G43 or K98, I have no problem hitting targets on El Alamein from 350 - 400 meters ... usually about 25 - 35% accuracy. With any of the British rifles, my accuracy shooting at anything beyond 200 meters is about 2%.
This game is virtually dead to any veteran players who played because they didn't want CoD or BF. Team17, over the past year, has transformed HLL into a Frankenstein of a game that doesn't even resemble its former self. And if that weren't bad enough, there's a large infestation of bugs that get introduced with every release and never actually get fixed.
Go back to Update 12 and 13 ... literally ZERO of the problems they introduced in those updates has been fixed and it's been more than a year.
