Why didn't Germans and Britain receive desert uniforms for El Alamein?

Quite a serious immersion break as winter uniforms were added to match the last new maps.

Feels like it was pushed out way too fast - I like the El Alamein map on first play through but this update should have at least included the relevant uniforms on release surely? Maybe they will add later but I do hope this won't be a paid dlc...its not the money- its the principle. Hope I'm wrong - bet I'm not.

the devs spent all their development funds on perfecting the run speed, they ran out before they could hire a guy with enough ms paint experience to do the uniforms.

For Brits it's fine as they did use P-37 in Africa, though would have been nice to see the shorts for sure. I could get silly and cry about the webbing being the wrong colour for early war but eh, it's close enough and there's bigger mistakes on the uniform (pouches being all wrong for the loadouts, missing rank patches, most troops using MK 7 gas mask bags).
But the Germans yeah no that's just very wrong on so many levels

P-37/P-40 was indeed used in North Africa, also Australians used their own Service Dress pattern similar to one from WWI, you also will be surprised to hear they used long coats and leather jerkin.
