Unable to reload DP27 (PC)

I was playing on Stalingrad with the DP27 and I wasn't able to reload after using it for a while. I could reload my nagant revolver, and i tried firing the DP27, but a shot didn't come out.

if you run out of ammunition you have to find a box to refill, or an ammo drop from the commander.

last choice would then be respawn. hit esc and redeply yourself, then you have another full loadout - if the loadout bug doesnt spoil that XD

If you unmount during reload animation, you often insta-reload, basically you had a fresh disk already. Unless you had completely run out of ammo.
