Game Keeps Freezing

Every 10 minutes or so, the game just locks up. It locks my whole computer up too. Then after a bit it relaxes and I can resume. This has gotten me killed more than once today alone. How can we fix this?

GPU Nvidia GTX 3090

Out of RAM? VRAM? Going into page file?

What resolution you are playing on? Try lowest settings and see if it still happens.

I'm certainly not out of RAM or VRAM. Again, 3090. I toyed with the settings, same issue. Happens randomly without any known cause. Apparently this is a VERY well known issue since the last update. I hadn't heard about it until I spoke to others in-game. Everyone's saying the same. Game Freezes (doesn't crash), then 30 seconds to a whole minute later it unfreezes.

I am yet to see this issue. Game doesn't work properly with texture streaming disabled though if you have it disabled.

Try verifying game files, something could be corrupted.

Verified. No issues found. Reinstalled prior to that. There seems to be no real reason. Just randomly happens while playing. I noticed today the screen froze, and after 40 seconds (roughly) it said "Connection to Host Lost".

I know the next thought is my internet, but I have 1GB Fiber Internet, connected through Ethernet (Not Wifi). So no, it's not my internet either.

I only had a freeze and "Connection to Host Lost" with texture streaming disabled also crashes. Honestly looks like the same issue, are you sure you don't have texture streaming disabled?

Check VRAM usage with HWinfo. Even if you have 24 GB of VRAM it can still be maxed out with memory leak or some other weirdness.

I only had a freeze and "Connection to Host Lost" with texture streaming disabled also crashes. Honestly looks like the same issue, are you sure you don't have texture streaming disabled?

Check VRAM usage with HWinfo. Even if you have 24 GB of VRAM it can still be maxed out with memory leak or some other weirdness.

Where can I check for Texture Streaming?

With regards to VRAM usage, I see that every time it does this, my GPU usage drops to 1%. Nothing else on my PC freezes up. Just the game, and only this game.

Remove "-NOTEXTURESTREAMING" if added to launch options. By default texture streaming should be disabled. Unless you downloaded some modified game config files for better performance or changed settings in config file.

I haven't used Nvidia card with new-ish drivers. But don't you have Nvidia overlay now with info stats? Just check what is happening with VRAM usage while these freezes occur.

Launch options are default. I checked VRAM usage and when the freezes occur, it drops to nearly zero. The game just stops, except for the audio. It usually keeps me in-game too. Just frozen. I can sit there and chat with my squad as they get angry that I'm standing in an open field lol.

I've been asking around and in EVERY lobby I ask, lots of people are saying the same. They were like "Yeah, I thought I was the only one" or "I thought my Computer was messed up". So apparently this is a serious prevalent issue, but nobody is reporting it. So the Devs don't know we're having this problem.

You should DDU Nvidia driver and then install new driver. If you update already installed Nvidia drivers it can get messed up. Generally issue itself seems more like driver issue than game issue.

But could be either. Can you alt tab while it's frozen?

Yeah I can alt Tab when it's frozen. Nothing else on the Computer freezes during this. Also, this is the only game where this is an issue.

With regards to DDU, I'm not sure what this is to be honest. Never heard of DDU Driver, what's that?

Yeah I can alt Tab when it's frozen. Nothing else on the Computer freezes during this. Also, this is the only game where this is an issue.

With regards to DDU, I'm not sure what this is to be honest. Never heard of DDU Driver, what's that?

DDU is Display Driver Uninstaller, it uninstalls driver in a better way let's say. Removing registry entries as well. So you can install driver freshly without anything being left over there.

Some games might not work properly if you have page file disabled by the way. Even if you have endless amount of RAM. That is worth checking out as well.

It's really unplayable if it freezes for such long periods of time. I would assume devs would have done something if this was really that common.

Try running DDU and then freshly installing new driver, then test the game with full default settings in Nvidia control panel. If it still does have these issues it's not GPU and it's not very likely that something else can cause this.

I also assume nothing is overclocked?

Nope, no overclocking.

But it's clearly common enough that every game I go into, I have no problem having people tell me they're all experiencing the same thing. It's just that nobody is complaining about it haha. So I figured I'd post here to get the Devs' attention.

I had the same issue, it was because of my antivirus. try whitelisting the game or disabling your antivirus when you want to play.
