Player base comes up to around 6.5k after an update. Drops gradually over the time that there isn't an update. Spikes back up to around 6.5k when update drops. Repeat.
And we all know an update isn't coming anytime soon ;)
Likely the next update will come out in April.
Again, following trends.
Highly doubtful considering we’re getting new Devs in June… current ones are packing up their bags. You really thing we’re going to get a big update in April? Lol
it typically goes about 7-10% drop per month until the next update hits. I mean a hardcore Battlefield with no (constant) HUD is already a niche game, always was in Battlefield as well; but I found it more enjoyable.
As of right now, nothing indicates that an update won't come out at the expected time other than unfounded speculation on your end.
Stop trying to be that guy on the street corner yelling that the world is ending, because you look equally unstable when you make baseless assumptions like this.
on the Elderscrolls Online forum the people are calling the game dead with a current count of 22k ^^ and that just that one moment and only steam users (not exlusive for steam).
this is a niche game, it wont ever have the playercount of an MMO.
having between 5k and 7,5k online when i play, is good enough to find populated servers. too much people have a very short attention spann, to play this long enough and learn. many just troll around, more simply drop it and buy something else to play.
i recently got an archivement for placing 100 ^^ ammo crates - only 1.5% have got that ^^ that shows even those who play, often just run around like headless chicken (what they often are then XD)
its a special game for some special players. not everyones cup, so im glad we got enough people to play, but not as much as other more popular titles, that then get destroyed by a stupid players base (see insurgency or day of infamy).
some games survive a very long time with a low but stable player base. those are the ones who realy want to play it ^^
RO2 had a stable playerbase of 1.5k since its release, and kept it for 5-6 years. The game never really had the modern games ups or downs in player populations, set aside from a few times (free weekends/humblebundle/giveaways), but it might be explained by the game market not yet being saturated with tons of alternatives for someone who wanted hardcore WW2 shooters. I wouldn't say there are tons of games like HLL or RO2 today either, but apparently the genre has grown as evident from the stats comparing these two games.
Same here. My issue is too many "full" servers lol.
