Now you might be asking: How is skill involved in levelling up?
Well, with a game like this, I can't tell you how many high level players (talking levels 150+ here) don't have these prestige kits:
Level 6 & 9 Assault
Level 10 Support
Soviet level 8 AT for Bazooka
Simply because they rarely, if ever, built the nodes that the allowed their team to gain maximum resources and thus abilities to use during a 90 minute match.
Nor, do they consider how much XP can be provided by building a repair station nearby a tank (or on a point to hold) or defences in Offensive mode.
I'd say there are far more people sitting in those roles (Assault, AT) not exploiting them to maximum advantage in order to unlock those kits, than those who are grinding for the kits.
The fact remains that you won't kill your way to level 9 Assault; there aren't enough players in HLL to do so, hence why the nodes, repairs stations and, hammering will get you over the edge.
But now you want those very same kits, despite having paid very little into the teamwork fund to get it all done?
The vast, vast majority of HLL players are completely clueless on scoring. Most of the scoring is just from time played, except of course from things like you mentioned with nodes, building, etc.
There are ways to go faster, but the average HLL player is just Veruca Salt: "i want it now!"
Someone answered this before as supposedly because the uniform cosmetics you get from higher level of a class were intended too stand out more and show the players class rank visually. However cosmetic DLCs having been released and surely more too come in the future, that are already more desirable / high quality than the base unlocks, makes this explanation outdated.
Aside from the Flamethrower at support level 8, which is really awful anyway, and Bazooka for Soviet AT at level 8, you have access to all the tools at level 3 roles which at best is 2-3 games each. The only one that takes a long time is Assault level 9 because of its lack of utility and being a pure kill type of role.
If you're really so impatient, go to that silly bob the builder server.

This. If you want your loadout now just play on BTB Server. Otherwise just play the game.
It took me 30hrs to get all classes(inf, recon, tanks) to max level. So if you just need level 6.. thats like max 1,5 hrs on a dedicated Server.
