I do think squads would stick together more if they knew they had a better chance of staying afloat :)
Note - You could only be picked up 1 time per life from a non medic.
Note - Getting mortally wounded by an enemy again after being picked up from a non medic results in death. So no getting shot and picked back up over and over etc.
so this game is not gonna die that quickly, at least not on its own. I suspect it's going to be relevant for a couple more years, until another title comes along that is comparably better than HLL. then it will eventually die
70% people will respawn even if you are 2m near them
the many icons on the screen is annoying, they should decrease it
the loadout is just poor, so basically u are a rifleman but can revive people, nothing interesting.
the community is just fine, I mean on the discussions everyone is talking so much and write stuff but in game, everyone is mute, I feel like I'm playing a singleplayer game.
there have been many ocassions when the enemies would capture our point, they were going for the next one and more than half of the team were still on the attack even if they couldn't capture that objective.
everyone is playing for themselves, there is no team work, HLL is the new Call of Duty, and that's 100% proven from my personal experience.
It makes for more content for existing players, and new players discover a new game.
Obviously both groups have got players losing interest after some time, or not purchasing the game, but the stats speaks for themselves: https://steamdb.info/app/686810/graphs/
The game has overall a very stable playerbase, and it 'll likely last way longer than RO2 did (not measuring that this game has had way more players to begin with).
as far as the numbers of people playing goes, I have been playing since early beta, there is continual growth and you can see this by how many active servers there are at any one time.
this game is still growing with a consistent player base.
I hope you guys enjoy the game for what its worth, it has fun unique ideas. Lets hopefully NOT turn it into a COD or Battlefront clone. GL guys
It is a "hardcore" playstyle so I feel it ain't quite a game you can just pick up and play on any day and mood kinda thing.
It can be mentally draining if you're not just throwing matches.. even more for people who go Squad lead and other higher roles.
New content definitely keeps things fresh but it may not always be necessary to keep numbers high. Just until the game feels like it's not missing anything like say the Pacific War (♥♥♥♥).
Playing with friends and just messing around is fun as well but I think the mentally drain issue is a big thing which causes periodic pauses and breaks in the player counts
