Only got a 1440p for a week now and although it's definitely an advantage i l'd say 1080p is very doable as well.
My tip is to look for movement mostly.
With 1440p it's easier for me to spot targets that are half concealed but it isn't impossible on 1080.
By reducing FOV, you can see further too, but the peripheral view is worse. 90 is minimum in HLL, option to lower FOV more can help with this problem. Maybe it's possible go lower than 90 when you change value in GameUserSettings.ini
Anyway, bigger monitor and higher resolution will always do the best job.
i play without monitors. that's how awesome I am.
You always were amazing tbh
1080p should be enough detail?
You are not going to be running and beat the enemy who has already established a prepared position. The best way to counter this is to move from cover to cover anticipating the enemies fire. Once fired upon hit the dirt and get your smokes out. Then press the smoke with hand grenades. This is why it is important to have a squad leader and assault player. You need smoke and hand grenades to press on enemy positions.
