Wrong German helmet covers
All but one of the German camo covers available are Waffen SS and were never used by Heer soldiers, in fact many in the game never existed in real life. How about they include maps with just Heer or Waffen SS units. Or use some research and use correct uniforms. Sorry, but the sperg in me can't hold back.

don't expect realism or authenticity from this game, it's practically call of duty in that ascpet, you have fg-42s in stalingrad, trucks everywhere have leibstandarte emblems, there's plenty of that.

As a fellow German camo nut, I agree, but there is a decent amount of photo evidence of the Heer using SS camo. This tends to be more so with smocks and zelts but I have seen a photo of a Heer grenadier with an Oak B m42 cover in Russia somewhere.
the devs do not give a ♥♥♥♥

I'm not that into the history of uniforms, but would anyone say a possible reasoning why the chosen camo covers were implemented? Like, you argue that most are Waffen SS. So how many variations did the Heer or Wehrmacht actually use? I'm mostly familiar with the grey/blue and sometimes italian green wool uniform that's probably the most known.
I'm might go look whether the devs posted about their decisions in the Kickstarter blogs just due to this being an interesting topic.

The Heer used several different variations of splinter pattern camo officially but were fairly late to getting it produced and there was never enough to go around. While in close proximity with SS units or Foreign units (especially Hungarians) trading would occur and depending on the value placed on a particular camo for wherever the deployment was, you would see more heer soldiers donning that camo as it was traded for at higher rates. In Stalingrad, the heer had no formal camo of their own yet as the 1st splinter patter smock wouldn’t be produced until after the battle but Hungarian units were on the flanks and the dark reddish brown in Hungarian camo made it highly sought after for blending into the rubble of Stalingrad….the Hungarian cover we have in game though to way off from accurate.

In games like this, it's more important to be able to distinguish friend vs foe vs being historically accurate.
