Report a translation problem
the problem is that playing Omaha beach (on offensive game mode) isnt really fun
and i play games for fun ya know
not to have an interactive war documentary (and honestly if that was teh intention of the game than its doing a pisspoor job at it)
I Disagree
I Disagree
Subjective and Irrelative
For me it's fun because it's different, and it's hard (to get off the beach). And actually once you're off the beach the rest of the map is very good. Same/same perfectly balanced maps get boring IMO.
but the actual beach on Offensive game mode is badly designed from a gameplay perspective, you cant argue against that
but to people like Miller as soon as someone points anything of the likes out its always
"war wasnt balanced and this is how it ought to be"
totally neglecting that at the end of the day this is a game which needs to be balanced around being an enjoyable experience
we can obviously argue what you and i find "enjoyable", and yes that is subjective
but i would argue that for the vast majority of players it is an unfun experience, as proven by repeatedly threads showing up talking about this
and its not only things like Omaha beach on offensive
there are a multitude of problems in this game from a simple game mechanic and gameplay loop point of view, that are in desperate need of being adressed, but apparently we are not supposed to talk about that and it somehow makes us less desirable players if we do, and we should "go play something else" or "learn to cope with it" (whatever thats supposed to mean in a vidya game)
Agree!
The real problem here is that an authentic omaha beach map was a terrible choice for a multiplayer game. Sure its "iconic" but its iconic because it was a literal uphill battle that went to sh*t. We already had Utah, it was a fine map to represent the dday landings.
In fact, the devs themselves didnt even pick Omaha beach. It was a choice given to a kickstarter backer who probably didnt even consider gameplay.
Additionally, the game being a Saving Private Ryan simulator in particular kind of lends to Omaha's existence. The trick is to keep vouching for server operators to keep it off rotation until it is cancelled to absolute oblivion.
LOL go to play whit Barbie....
