Do you think Kursk is unbalanced as I do?
It seems unless you got an amazing team playing as the Russians on kurks, you will lose. Most times I'm Russian on Kursk I lose. Axis tanks on the hills just destroy all infantry, the map seems to be balanced to be more in favour of the germans due to the layout of the map.

If you are on the Russian side:
Start of the game, move over the first big hill just before that small town area and hold that position to pick off german soldiers and try to capture windmills first and have a light tank ready to defend.
Use the trenches, never run in an open field, use defensive tactics like place mines for tanks and block roads.

Have a great tank crew in a Russian heavy tank. That tank will destroy every German tank in sight because of the many shots it can handle. Even better when you are about to lose and have the tank(s) stay in the forest with an engineer in the back to repair.

Also katyusha strikes are much more devastating than a regular airstrike.

Only downside is the weak AT, sniper and not having a medium machinegun.
it's a map that requires teamwork. If you have the usual 5-6 SLs that do nothing but troll command chat you'll probably have a hard time.

Had an epic Offensive game this week where we held out on the Nazi onslaught. We had multiple teams setting up coordinated cross fire AT guns to destroy their tanks and engineers that built proper defences where they were needed. It's hard and bloody should be but without the proper coordination it won't work... good luck!

OP - As I have posted before:

HLL is Brutal. FOY, Kursk, Stalingrad, and Omaha reward expert play and punish anything less. NO "Redeploy Punishment" necessary. Do stupid action, get stupid reward as many times as it takes for you to learn.

No! Kursk is very balanced. When you are playing on Kursk you always need consider following rules:
1) This is a tank’s map, all 3 sets of nodes should be built immediately after game started. Tank crews must have 3 men each.
2) The key point on this map is MILLS, no matter if middle point is Yamki or Oleg’s house. If you controlling the Mills - you are controlling the game. At least one full squad should be there permanently.
3) More AT weapons! If you play for Germans, you should have 2-3 AT weapons on Mills and other hills. If you play for USSR and you saw these AT weapons in Mills, then install 2-3 AT weapons at C1!
4) Stop crying about enemy tanks. You saw one? Mark it down, install AT weapon and destroy it.

Problem in HLL is people have lack of interaction. Install garrison in red zone using supports, install AT weapon, build nodes by one man switching roles from support to engineer for most of players feels like miracle.
