No Officer, No Spotter, Six Man Blueberries, Solo Snipers
First and foremost, those guys that create an unlocked Recon, let some take Sniper, leave, and repeat for both recon squads: ♥♥♥♥ you.
Second, if you make a squad, leave and rejoin to not play Officer, also ♥♥♥♥ you.
I don't care what anyone says, this needs to stop. They need to update the squad system to not only lock the player who started the squad to Officer but also remove all players from the squad when the Officer leaves the squad. Squads outside of the command chat are worthless.

i agree 100%. when i see a sl do that i take sl and kick them from the squad every time. at least punish them in the only way i know and it makes me feel a bit better lol.

Alright lets not witch hunt anyone. When players see three full squads and create a new one but realize they're out of their depth in the role/ Don't have a mic, there isn't any reason to penalize them. This thread is the definition of laziness and toxicity that people talk about.

yeah, you cannot even join the game without a squad...
remove all players from the squad when the Officer leaves the squad

As long as it doesn't do that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ where your loadout gets reset mid-gameplay. I hate that about Squad.

Fun thing is that when that happened to me i always took Charger as "corporal" since i Say to the rest our "sarge is dead, i'll take post" only the downside is we don't have access to comando chat lol.

I will adopt this tactic too.
And pay attention to it: most of the times people who use this method always go for the assault or the automatic rifleman class.

OP - There are reasons for Part 2 of your post. It's been call "Squad Seeding". The argument is basically this:

If there are 30 guys waiting for a squad to start at the beginning of the game because they don't want be squad lead them self. Someone would step forward and create a squad then leave so the team wouldn't have 30 guy waiting around for 3 to 5 minutes plus while the enemy team is rushing the point. [It could also be assumed that the squad would eventually get tired of not having an Outpost and eventually some one would step up and become a squad lead.]

Like it or not, that's it.

Like it or not, that's it.
Then they should do what PS does and let's you spawn in alone as a basic rifleman period.
Anything else is just excusing bad behavior because everyone knows why these players do it. They want AT, MG, or assault and always want to lone wolf it. There actions prove it. If someone is lone wolfing I do NOT want them in a important role. Let them be rifleman and do whatever.
I will continue to take SL then boot these players till HLL shuts down lol.

HLL is not keen on forcing players to behave in a certain manor. Other gaming systems are. Yet another feature that makes HLL unique.

They are forcing others into playing a way or role they don't want to in order to accommodate the punks that abandon sl for a different role.
If my sl quits I'm forced to either find a new squad and different role and hope that sl don't quit too, or take sl myself or admit that the game is a loss most likely.

Why are my needs or others like me less important then selfish peoples? I know you like to argue everything and that's ok. You ate entitled to your opinion but all you're doing is saying someone else can ruin others fun as long as they are happy....a weird hill to die on imo.
Anyways I will always kick them. Just my way of having fun in a bad situation I guess so that makes it good.

I had the thought about giving the commander more power to put players where they need to be or follow orders to be certain classes. Like I don't see many medics at all but what if the commander can put you there or order you to do a certain role? I know people would not like this but maybe even give this to the SL instead...or have some incentives to play certain roles when needed like a nice badge etc

I made a post before talking about this very thing. Not the forcing players to play certain roles but specifically giving players incentives for playing needed roles. I don't know what they should do but what I would do is expand the options for Commander, Officer, and Tank Commander. Options like: non-verbal orders to specific units, tank commanders being able to place requests for armor (which type, where) directly to the Commander if there is Fuel for it, Commander can spawn on any OP, Officer can choose more weapons (German Officer can get STG44 and FG42, US Officer can get M97, M3, and BAR), stuff like that.

I agree giving more weaponry to SL but i could suggest also a sub role for a "corporal" option which can be taken for anyother role just with bit less tools than SL
